A 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS convertible is already pretty darn desirable. But when you see this has its original V8, four-on-the floor, and a special paint code, well then you realize it's a muscle car dream come true.
The bodywork is tidy on this Camaro. You can tell someone has been careful with this special car. In fact, when you look at the trim tag, you'll note it's a special order machine. Today, it has a terrific application of a bright red. It provides the perfect backdrop to highlight the black Bumblebee Stripe, black folding roof, and blacked-out hidden headlights of the Rally Sport panel. The overall effect is almost like a two-tone that's both aggressive and attractive. All the iconic other goodies on the car make it easy to love, too, including the front air dam, full-width rear spoiler, and the upgrade to a super scoop cowl hood. It wouldn't be a true 60s GM classic without the bright Rally wheels.
Because the black trim looks so good on the exterior, you'll love the matching, full, black interior. Thanks to the power convertible top, you're only just the flip of a switch away from being open to the world. The sleek low-back bucket seats are what we all want in a ... Description
The sleek low-back bucket seats are what we all want in a Camaro, and the wood-like center console is a great period-correct upgrade. In fact, this one really stays true to '68, right down to the AM radio that's still on display. Camaros are very much built for the driver, and that's why you get a comfortable three-spoke RS steering wheel. Beyond it are the deep dual pods that house the bright original gauges. The bright white topper on the Hurst shifter is like a beacon calling out for your right hand.
Under the hood is the car's original 327 cubic-inch V8. You'll be proud to show this one off as the bright Chevy Orange block and valve covers radiate power from within the dark engine bay. Everything from the bright air topper to the newer alternator show this original motor has been treated with care. It inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with plenty of deep tones thanks to a newer stainless dual exhaust. And the four-speed manual transmission means you're in complete control of the power and rumble this produces. Out on the road, power steering, power brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As help make sure your open-top experience is all smiles.
This is a well-presented and significant classic. So for those of you who love a story to go with your V8 droptop, don't let this one slip away. Call now!
