SURPRISING VINTAGE CHEVY W/ A CORVETTE 350 TPI V8, 700R4 AUTO, PWR FR DISC, NICE

The Advance Design pickups have squarely been on the radar with classic car enthusiasts around the world for many years now, and if you've been holding off waiting for a deal, here's a newsflash: they will not be getting cheaper. The good news is that you can own this beautifully built 1954 Chevy 3100 5-Window Restomod, not for $60,000 or $50,000, but quite a bit less. Better still, it features a modern 350 TPI engine, overdrive transmission, and a beautiful restoration that was done right on this highly desirable 5-Window cab model.

Dark colors look great on pickups, particularly vintage vehicles with lots of curves, and shade like this Emerald Green Metallic are a perfect complement to this 3100's timeless livery. Borrowed from Nissan's color palette, shiny finish lets all those great shapes and curves stand out without making it look excessively modern, and it's a perfect complement to the old-style wooden planks on top of the bed. With straight bodywork that's generally uncommon on old trucks, it gets a ton of attention on the street and a lot of folks fall in love at first sight. It was painted several years and it's been driven and enjoyed since (who could resist?), but it's obvious ... Please ask for the full description.

It was painted several years and it's been driven and enjoyed since (who could resist?), but it's obvious that this 5-Window was never a tired worker that hauled bricks around town each day. No, this Chevy's been babied through the years, and the lack of any major imperfection is a testament to the easy life this truck has led since it was finished. Today it's a great-looking example of a show-and-go pickup that's fully sorted and nicely turned out. Gaps are better that what you'd get from a vehicle of the period, and the wood bed out back was sealed and protected with black spray-in bedliner to match the inside walls - so if you ever do want to make a run to Home Depot, it's more than capable of bringing half the store back with you. The running boards were painted black to mimic the trucks of yore, and we simply love the contrast to the green finish, especially in how well it plays off the chrome. And speaking of chrome, it really pops on this one, starting with that iconic horizontal grille, the bright mirrors and glass trim, and the bright heavy-duty bumpers found fore and aft. This truck really looks great from any angle.

Inside it's still basic and simple inside this deluxe interior, but it carries enough details to give it a purposeful and upscale look. The bench seat is more comfortable than anything found in a truck for decades to come, offering firm yet supple gray vinyl upholstery that's in great condition, and all-day comfortable for driver and passenger alike. A gorgeous original steering wheel was restored and painted to match the exterior, as was the original dash, which still carries its original large dual gauge pods ahead of the driver. Those antiquated units have been augmented with a trio of auxiliary units installed under the dash, and a big AutoMeter tachometer that was mounted to the left of the steering wheel to mind the revs of the updated motor up ahead. And with a that upgraded motor came a new transmission as well - so the need for a new shifter arose - and thankfully the builders didn't take the easy route and stick one of those cheap box shifters in the floor, employing instead a column shifter and gear selector that allows the truck to still look factory correct at a glance. Thick carpets help control noise and heat and really freshen up the interior, and you get neatly trimmed gray door panels that match the seat and headliner above, giving the cabin a very finished look indeed. There is no radio, as original, and it's nice that they didn't hack up the stock dashboard to make a modern unit fit. You're free to do your own thing, but it looks right just as it is.

The engine is a 350 V8 motor borrowed from a late-model Corvette, which is a big step up over the original Stovebolt Six that lived there in 1954. Installed in 2019 and featuring tuned-port injection, it fires up with ease and is very dependable, and because it came from a Corvette you know this sucker is STRONG! It's also nicely dressed with a polished aluminum intake cover, coated headers, a cold-air induction and big cone filter, and blacked-out valve covers, giving it a slick look that matches its high-impact bodywork. A Chevrolet 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission was included in the swap and is rugged and reliable, giving this truck the ability to still haul some gear, and the rear end is heavy-duty 12-bolt with 3.42 gears that's tough enough to handle anything. A Flowmaster H-pipe dual exhaust system sounds nice and throaty and it's been fitted with tube-style shocks so the ride is a lot less truck-like than you'd expect from something of this vintage. Black steelies with polished hubcaps and beauty rings are the perfect complement to the look of the truck, and they're wrapped in tough-looking Cooper Discovery tires with plenty of tread.

A cool old truck that's ready to enjoy immediately, offering proven reliability, gorgeous looks, and a ton of performance. Call today!
