MANY UPGRADES! SUPERCHARGED BUILT 4.6L & 5 SPD MANUAL, BREMBOS, SUSPENSION, WOW!

This incredibly cool, custom-built 2006 Ford Mustang Supercharged GT is one of those cars that needs a second and third look to get the full effect, so please take your time. At first glance, it looks pretty stock, right? Well, take a good, long look because this is no garden-variety Mustang; it was purpose-built by a group of industry-leading pros to be given away to the contest winner at SEMA and packs big horsepower and a bunch of cool tweaks to make it the sleeper's favorite late-model muscle car.

What you're looking at was actually called Project Fire and Ice, and was the brainchild of Old World Industries (parent company of Peak Performance antiFreeze and SplitFire spark plugs), and executed by the legendary crew at Paul's High Performance in Michigan. Loaded with an eye-popping list of performance and appearance mods from Ford Racing Performance Parts (including several that had not yet been available to the public at the time), Classic Design Concepts, and SplitFire, this custom car was sought-after by thousands of people that registered at AutoZone stores across the country to win the giveaway. And although it might look like somewhat subdued now in its slick Performance White ... Please ask for the full description.

And although it might look like somewhat subdued now in its slick Performance White livery, if you Google the project you'll see that it was initially featured with a billboard wrap that highlighted all the companies involved. The NASACAR-style vinyl skin was removed, but the matte-black chin spoiler, wraparound ducktail spoiler, and ribbed black filler panel remained in place from the build as a contrast to the factory white finish. The result is a slick performance car that works exceedingly well on the retro-looking 2006 Mustang, punctuated by the 19-inch wheels that were added not long ago. The car's been shown quite a bit in the last 15 years and driven 28k miles so there are signs of use and age, but the presentation still shines up great, and we think that a cut-and-buff would really kick it back up a notch. Factory Mustang GT pieces remain as well, including the blacked-out front grille, fog lights, and rear diffuser with larger cut-outs for the updated exhaust.

This GT came from the factory with the popular Interior Upgrade Package inside, and it tells much of the same story: a stock presentation with a few aftermarket upgrades that take it to another level. The black leather buckets emulate the 1967 Mustang that inspired the entire 2005 redesign, and they show only minor wrinkling accrued through the years. The dashboard is stock, with more retro design cues and big, round gauges that are easy to read. Additions during the build include FRPP's stainless scuff plates and embossed floor mats, a dash-mounted 5-inch tachometer from Splitfire, and a custom FRPP/Hurst shifter bolstered with a ShiftRite brace from Paul's High-Performance. Factory options are loaded as well with just about everything you could get in '06, including power windows, locks, and driver's seat, cruise control, a tilt column, A/C, as well as a full array of airbags. Born with a Shaker 500 stereo, the speakers are now managed via a Sony multi-media LED screen unit that is powerful enough to make your ears bleed and there's no sunroof to make the body feel flexy and loose, critical for a car with this much horsepower. The trunk looks new, too, with factory materials and a reasonable amount of cargo space.

This GT's original 4.6-liter SOHC V8 engine has been enhanced by a twin-screw Whipple supercharger and a host of FRPP bolt-on goodies including a Drag Pack set-up, beefing the horsepower up to 362+ to the rear wheel, and giving this unassuming Mustang a big block punch. The top-mounted roots-style blower looks quite OEM sitting there in the V of the engine and makes full boost before you can get your foot on the floor. A recent custom tune makes it run and drive like an OEM car (recently passed emissions), not like some home-built hot rod, and it seems happy on premium pump gas. A gorgeous X-pipe Borla exhaust system with FRRP mufflers with polished 4-inch tips add horsepower and sounds amazing, and a complete custom suspension filled with Steeda and FRRP high-end components (shocks, sway-bars, bushing, arms, etc.) gives it the handling to match its horsepower. The 5-speed manual transmission was built to handle all the added horsepower, and thanks to the FRRP's Drag Pack you get stout 4.11 gearing out back. Finishing off the look is a set of gorgeous chrome 19-inch forged Mustang wheels with 255/40/19 front and 275/40/19 Firestone radials.

Complete with an original window sticker, owner's manual, and cool pedigree that's easily verified with a quick Google of the magazine write-ups this car helped author, this is one heck of an over-built Mustang. So, don't judge a book by its cover, this is a ton of performance at a price well below the cost of duplication. Call today!
