In the history of the autoverse, few cars inspire equal amounts of fear and respect quite like this 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Fully repainted in its original Forest Green Metallic, this throwback powerhouse looks clean and straight from any angle, while its aftermarket hood, complete with an A12-spec style scooped hood and old-school locking pins, not-so-subtly reminds anyone driving ahead of this beast to get out of the way. With just 69,014 (believed) actual miles on its odometer, don't expect this muscle car to show any signs of automotive atrophy anytime soon.
Inside, we find a two-tone interior which has been restored mostly back to its original specifications with the exception of a few tasteful upgrades. A roomy split-bench front seat sits in front of a horizontal 120 mph speedometer, which is flanked by fuel, temperature, and alternator meters. A big column-mounted Auto Meter 8,000 rpm tachometer sits in clear view behind the three-spoke Acclcors Racing Steering wheel with its iconic Road Runner center cap. Another large Auto Meter oil pressure gauge is mounted under the dash, just ahead of the trick pistol-grip shifter. An aftermarket AM/FM radio is in place. However, the owner ... Description
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner is a very cool classic because it has a ton of history, but it never lets that get in the way of a good time. For example, the motor is believed to be original to the car, but it was also rebuilt and enlarged at Dennis Maurer's shop (the Mopar drag racing legend) to a blacktop-owning 426ci car. There's even a five-speed upgrade so you can better harness the enhanced power. And while the car's green-on-green color combo is correct, there are also period-correct upgrades like the A12 hood and Keystone Klassic wheels to make sure this muscle Mopar is pure intimidation. Plus, no matter how much growl is added to this coupe, the horn still goes "BEEP! BEEP!"

This is one of those great muscle Mopars that is for true drivers. You can tell it wants you to experience the best of 1969 with details like the special hood and a pistol-grip shifter. But the upgraded gears and extra-grippy front disc brakes also signal an understanding of what's needed to enjoy it in modern times. And for those who are true purists, many of this car's original stick-style come with the sale, including the four-speed transmission, brake drums, master cylinder, and stock radio. So what you get is a mean green machine that's going to get a lot of attention... but you'll be too busy on the road to notice it all. So if you're a real driver, don't let this true classic sip away. Call today!!!
