UNIQUE RESTOMOD WAGON, BIG BLOCK 390 V8, T-BIRD GUTS, 4-DISCS, PWR STEER, A/C!!!

This 1959 Ford Country Squire wagon is the Blue Oval answer to the Nomad, and my question to you is this: when was the last time you saw a beautifully '59 Ford that was this cool? Heck, when was the last time you saw a 2-door Ford wagon of any kind? This is a rare, unusual, beautifully built car that you won't see at every show, for a fraction of the price of a Nomad.

Fresh from the rust-free southern US, this wagon is ready to hit the beach with its bright Aqua paint job and cool stance. And what could be better than this dramatic wagon for hauling your gear? The paint job is recent and definitely stands out with its classic '50s aqua paint with plenty of metallic, giving it an updated look that will remain stylish indefinitely. The trim running along the length of the bodywork emphasizes the big Ford's cool styling, particularly the kicked-up quarter panels and mini-fins. It looks fantastic and it's obvious that someone made a plan and stuck to it during the build, so everything works together to create something unique. All the original Ford trim remains and it has all been polished or re-plated, including that ultra-cool grille up front and the jet-themed taillights out back. And the ...

And the window tint totally works here.

The custom interior echoes the aqua bodywork, and features four Thunderbird bucket seats for a trick twist on an old favorite. All the upholstery is new and even the T-Bird's center console made the transition intact, so it should feel familiar to many of you. That's the original dashboard, augmented by a set of Auto Meter gauges that look suitably vintage. A billet steering wheel hangs on a polished tilt column and there's a neat custom consolette above the factory console that houses the custom stereo and A/C system. The factory radio and heater controls remain in the dash, so nothing was hacked up or modified, which is always a nice touch, and there are power window controls built into the center console And as a wagon, there's a positively massive cargo bay, which has been as expertly upholstered as the rest of the interior, complete with matching side panels that echo those in the rear seat area.

The motor is a very stout 390 cubic inch V8, which looks right in the old Ford's engine bay, brightened by a set of finned valve covers and a matching air cleaner. Aside from the Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake, it's largely stock, so it runs smoothly and hammers down the highway effortlessly thanks to a big cushion of torque. A big aluminum radiator and all-new A/C equipment ensures that it stays cool and so do you, while a modern dual master cylinder feeds 4-wheel disc brakes. The dual exhaust system features reasonably aggressive mufflers, so this wagon has a very pleasant growl that attracts attention without being obnoxious. Floors are solid, the original Ford-O-Matic shifts well, and there's a 9-inch out back hanging on adjustable air shocks, so it can still carry a load when it has to. Oversized American Racing wheels look right and wear low-profile radials that clear the fender wells without any issues.

A very cool surf wagon that can go anywhere and looks awesome doing it, all for half the price of a Nomad. Call today!
