SHARP DROP TOP! 350 V8, AUTO, PS/B W/ FR DISC, SUBFRAME CONNCTRS, ELEC RS DOORS

The 1969 Camaro was recently named the most significant Chevrolet of the past 100 years, and when you look at this beautiful red 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible, it's pretty easy to figure out why. With a 350 under the hood, timeless good looks, and a smooth-shifting automatic transmission, this Camaro tells you all you need to know about the democratic process.

Orange Camaros get a lot of attention, but if you want to look like an adult, this handsome red convertible is a smarter choice. Not too bright, but not soft, either, it's the quintessential muscle car color that projects both style and aggression. With a fresh repaint it shines up very well with a bright smooth finish that's sure to garner plenty of admiration with good panel fit and straight sheetmetal throughout. The painted-on black hockey stick stripes are almost mandatory, just like the chine spoiler up front and the ducktail spoiler out back, all of which are welcome additions. SS-spec features provide even more toughness to this droptop street brawler, including a cowl induction hood, fog lights in the front valance, chrome trim on the 1969-only rear quarter “gills”, the cool blacked-out tail panel, and all the ... Description

SS-spec features provide even more toughness to this droptop street brawler, including a cowl induction hood, fog lights in the front valance, chrome trim on the 1969-only rear quarter "gills", the cool blacked-out tail panel, and all the bright "SS", "350", and "Camaro" badges in their correct factory locations. Details like the blacked-out grille, RS hidden headlights (the system has been converted to electric so it actually works great!), and polished stainless wheel moldings were all options, and they elevate this Camaro above some of its stripped-down brothers. This is a great-looking droptop Camaro!

Black vinyl buckets work nicely with the bright red paint, and the understated interior is still a great place to spend some time. The seats show some slight wear, but the depth of the detailing on the seat covers means these were restored properly. The factory gauges are still intact ahead of the driver, augmented with white-face Bosch units inside the horseshoe-shifter center console, and the wood-trimmed RS steering wheel and wood applique found in the dash and middle console adds an upscale air to this Camaro that fits it well. Somewhere along the line this car received a Retro-Sound AM/FM/CD/AUX head unit, but it's nicely installed in the factory slot without any hack work in the dash. The black carpets are plush and protected with Bowtie vinyl mats, and this is still a car you can jump in and enjoy right away. A newer black convertible top adds to the grown-up look and is in excellent condition while the spacious trunk is outfitted with matching carpet.

Few powertrain combinations are more reliable and time-tested than a 350 cubic inch V8 backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine bay is neatly detailed with some chrome dress-up pieces like the valve covers and air cleaner to complement the Chevy Orange paint on the block itself. It's been beefed up with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and a set of ceramic-coated long-tube headers. It starts easily and runs great, and at idle, it certainly sounds like a predator. Babied and well-maintained throughout its life, you know the chassis is clean and exactly what you want when you buy a car with the intention of driving it. A burbling Flowmaster dual exhaust system is just right, not too loud and with power steering and power front disc brakes, driving this droptop is an absolute delight. Rounding out this car's list of noteworthy attributes are proper 15 inch Rally wheels with 235/60/15 front and 235/60/15 rear Cooper Cobra white-letter performance radials to finish the killer look.

If you haven't experienced the greatest Chevy of all time, this is an ideal opportunity to do so. Call today!
