NO EXPENSE SPARED, PUNCHED 410 CRATE V8, 5-SPEED, 4 DISCS, 323 MILES SINCE BUILT

I'm warning you up front: there aren't enough words or photos to adequately describe this incredible 1968 Ford Mustang fastback. On the outside, it looks like the nastiest GT500 you've ever seen. On the inside, it's got an oversized small block V8, 5-speed manual, and an industrial-strength suspension. Not many cars are as fast AND as beautifully finished as this one.

Many car enthusiasts recognize the GT500 look, which was supplied by all-new fiberglass pieces from Stangaholics. From the gaping front bumper with driving lights nestled inside to the twin-snorkel hood, to the ducktail spoiler out back that was a legitimate Shelby styling cue, this Mustang looks every bit as fast as it is. Viper Blue paint with pearl white stripes are pure Shelby and the quality is extremely good, as you'd expect from a car of this caliber. Other styling additions are the Shelby badges, hood pins, and a lot of fresh brightwork. Out back, there are sequential Thunderbird taillights, and you'll note how beautifully the stripes trace every single component on the car, a detail that involved dozens of hours of additional work.

New ProCar buckets anchor the interior, which features black vinyl seat covers, ... Please ask for the full description.

New ProCar buckets anchor the interior, which features black vinyl seat covers, matching '67 door panels, and a fat leather-wrapped steering wheel on a chrome tilt column. Even the fold-down rear seat got a complete makeover yet remains fully functional. Gauges are by Auto Meter, neatly integrated into the original Mustang dash, and there's a Vintage Air A/C system that almost looks factory-installed. A state-of-the-art entertainment system features AM/FM/CD head unit in the dash that sounds fantastic and a trick overhead console looks straight out of the '60s. There's no floor console, but that's part of a Shelby's appeal, and we really dig the Hurst shifter with the blue knob. The trunk is also outfitted the way a Shelby might have been, including a reproduction plaid mat. Nice, right?

But perhaps this car's greatest trick is under the skin, where you'll find a thundering 410 cubic inch Windsor V8 built by Keith Craft Performance. It's filled with all the good stuff, including Mahle pistons, a Comp Cams roller cam, AFR 185 aluminum heads, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold, and a big Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor. A serpentine belt drive system ensures high-RPM reliability, and it's been neatly detailed with Ford Blue engine enamel and lots of polished aluminum. All told, it makes 532 rear-wheel horsepower, which churns through a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual gearbox. Out back, a custom 9-inch rear full of 3.70 gears makes the car exceptionally quick off the line. Subframe connectors reinforce the tub, and the front end is held up with a custom A-arm suspension with power rack-and-pinion steering and coil-overs with Spax adjustable shocks. Giant Wilwood disc brakes live at each corner and the exhaust system features ceramic coatings and stainless mufflers for a spectacular soundtrack. Beautiful American Racing Shelby 427 wheels look a lot like vintage Halibrands and carry fresh performance radials.

This car is simply stunning, both to look at and to drive. Few modern cars can touch it, and there's nothing built in 1968 that even comes close. For all the amazing details, give us a call!
