VERY CLEAN BUILD! '70 FRONT/REAR CLIP, REBUILT 440 V8, AUTO, A/C, PS/B, 4WL DISC

By 1973, the muscle car era was mostly over, but someone forgot to give the news to the guys over at Dodge. Standing as a low production year for the E-body Challenger, this cool Pearl Yellow hardtop sports a rebuilt 440 big block under the hood and a classic Mopar muscle look that really turns heads. If you wanted a new car with true performance DNA running through its veins, the Dodge Challenger was one of your only choices in 1973.

In the last 3 years this Challenger has gone through quite an impressive restoration, including the killer Tuxedo Black on Pearl Yellow paint job that you see glistening in our photo booth. And this wasn't some fly-by-night paint job either, check out the engine bay and undercarriage and you'll see that everything was carefully attended to, and the result is a top driver-quality job that's silky smooth and turns heads everywhere it goes. The Chrysler E-bodies seem to look best in high-visibility colors, which emphasize their classic long nose and short deck proportions, and when you hear this one run, the only possible color combination it could wear is that killer black-on-yellow. This particular Challenger received some cool added details during the build ... Please ask for the full description.

This particular Challenger received some cool added details during the build like the performance hood with big functional scoop and hood pins, a black profile stripe, a black Go-Wing and louvered window out back, and a matching black tail panel with large rectangular taillights, tying them to the past but giving them a look all their own with sequential illumination. The front and rear clip set-up is from a 1970 Challenger, which is a common swap that really smooths and streamlines this '73, and the blacked-out front grille looks absolutely sinister. The chrome is extremely nice with no dings or dents in either of the bumpers, and the chrome wheel arch molding that was added at all four corners is excellent as well.

Inside, the black vinyl interior is composed of OEM-style components mixed in with some new aftermarket pieces, and it's in great shape showing almost no wear. Anchoring the interior is a sculpted set of sporty buckets up front, and the racy image is complemented with carbon fiber accents on the door panels and middle console. The factory theme is found throughout, with the original style door panels, center console, wrap-around dash with a crack-free pad, and plush carpets below all showing little to no wear. Ahead of the driver is a full of array of gauges with yellow needles and trim, and they're augmented with a couple auxiliary units and large tachometer under the dash. The 3-spoke steering wheel is pure Mopar, the center console houses the shifter for the automatic transmission below, and the backseat is stock spec as well. There's a modern JVC AM/FM/CD/AUX player driving a set of speakers on the rear package shelf, and thanks to a full Vintage A/C unit the air is ice cold inside the cabin. Black floor mats with yellow 'Challenger' script tie the cabin in together, and out back the trunk is neatly finished with a carpeted mat.

Moving all that red-hot Mopar metal is powerful 440 V8 engine that was fully rebuilt approximately 2k miles ago, featuring all new internals, an .030 overbore, Harlan roller rockers, and Edelbrock aluminum heads. There's an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and high-rise intake manifold under an open-element air cleaner up top, which matches the beautiful Mopar Performance finned valve covers, and a big aluminum radiator keeps the whole show nice and cool. The engine bay is ready for show, as it was all painted Pearl Yellow when the engine was pulled and the fresh components like the chrome alternator, the MSD ignition, and long-tube headers all sparkle under the hood. The transmission is a Torqueflite 727 3-speed automatic with a Gear Vendor overdrive that handles the highway perfectly, and it drives an 8.75-inch rear with 3.90 inside. A new 2.5-inch Flowmaster H-pipe dual exhaust system sounds healthy without being overpowering unless you open up the electric exhaust cutouts of course, and terminates in polished tips through the rear valence panel that looks wicked. Power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes ensure a great ride each time out, and a quick peak underneath shows off fresh components throughout and a highly detailed undercarriage presentation. The finishing touch is a set of staggered 5-star chrome wheels that look a lot like vintage Torque Thrusts, and they wear recent 235/40/18 front and 275/40/20 rear performance radials that look killer.

Handsome, fast, and stylish, this Challenger is an excellent opportunity to pick up a recently restored car with all the looks of some of the most valuable muscle cars of all time for a fraction of the price. With a potent big block under the hood, it's plenty fast, too. Give us a call today!
