VERY SLICK! 350 V8, 4 SPD MANUAL, A/C, PWR STRG/BRAKES W/ FRT DISC, DRIVES GREAT

It's hard to go wrong with a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute finished in slick black paint and carrying a sweet-running small block under the hood. Throw in a quick-shifting 4-speed and choice options like cold A/C and power steering and brakes, and you've got a serious car that's ready to eat up some asphalt. Finished to a high driver-quality standard and featuring lots of curb appeal, this great-looking '68 is ready to garner instant respect on the road and at the car shows alike.

The bodywork on this tidy little Camaro was restored in the not-to-distant past, and today it presents as a great higher-end driver quality car that you'll happily show off at the local cruise night or out on the streets. The workmanship was most certainly professional, with straight panels and good gaps throughout, and it better be if you're planning to paint a vintage car black. The sinister shade of black might attract the attention of the local constabulary, but that's what happens when you own one of the most popular and fun-to-drive cars ever created: you want to drive it. And although black is not the original shade this Camaro was born with, we agree with the restorers that it's an upgrade over the ... Please ask for the full description.

And although black is not the original shade this Camaro was born with, we agree with the restorers that it's an upgrade over the rather bland original Code J2 Rallye Green. Fortunately, all the other goodies on the car make it easy to love, including a blacked-out grille up front, the cowl induction hood, and factory ducktail spoiler that always finishes these F-body cars with a flourish. The red 'bumble bee' nose stripes distinguish this Camaro from its more plebian siblings, along with the requisite 'SS' badging, front and rear spoilers, and bright chrome bumpers found fore and aft. The builders also decided to restore the Code 2 black vinyl roof, and we love that that option was retained because it adds a touch of sophistication to the otherwise street-brawler look of this '68 Camaro. Bottom line, the right choices were made during the build and this car has a great look.

The black bucket seat interior is well turned out, and the seat covers with cool gray cloth inserts are very comfortable pieces that are holding up quite well thanks to durable factory-type materials. Everything else is equally well presented, with mostly unblemished black door panels, clean carpets, and a taut, neat headliner overhead. Like the exterior, there are only minor signs of use and age, proving that this Camaro has definitely been cared for. It's always good to see a manual gearbox in an early Camaro, with this one topped by a tall, polished steel linkage and a cue ball knob just for effect. The factory gauges ahead of the driver all work properly, augmented by a Super Pro tachometer and a trio of auxiliary gauges mounted neatly under the dash. A newer Sony AM/FM/CD/AUX/Bluetooth stereo head unit fits in the center of the dash, snugging into the chrome-trimmed center stack quite neatly. Other options include ice cold Vintage A/C that's running on R134a refrigerant and a sporty 3-spoke steering wheel with a Bowtie center cap that looks great. The surprisingly spacious trunk is outfitted with a correct mat and houses a full-size spare tire and jack set just in case.

In addition to its high-impact classic look, this Camaro happens to be a great driver. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the cowl hood is running great, with responsive power felt up and down the throttle. It's armed with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and matching aluminum intake manifold and exhales into a pair of aftermarket headers that funnel into a Flowmaster dual exhaust for an outstanding sound. It's certainly got it going on in the looks department as well, wearing a chrome air cleaner on top and a pair of polished Chevrolet valve covers at its sides as it sits in a very nicely detailed engine compartment. Right behind that lively small block is a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts smoothly and rounds out a "hands on" drivetrain that's a perfect match for a classic muscle car like this. With featured power steering and power brakes that position discs up front, the navigation is fluid and the stops come quickly and easily. Ultra-clean 15" Chevy Rally wheels wrapped with 225/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A white-letter radials provide just the right finishing touch.

This is a sweet little Camaro SS Tribute you can drive and enjoy every day without worries, with a nice dose of flash to make it welcome at show time. Call today!
