VERY SLICK LONG BED 4X4! 402 V8, AUTO, A/C, PS, PB W/ FR DISC, RUNS/DRIVES GREAT

Who didn't want one of these awesome trucks when they were new, lifted and sitting tall with the rugged good looks of a young Clint Eastwood? Well, it's time to relive the past with this 1972 Chevrolet K-20 4x4 pickup, which has recently enjoyed a significant restoration that features a slick two-tone paint job, a comfortable A/C interior, and a beefy big block V8 that effortlessly pulls it down the road. With timeless good looks and go-anywhere capabilities, it's big 4x4 American fun on or off the pavement.

First off, dig that killer two-tone light gray and white paint job. It's not only a great color combination for a pickup, but beautifully rendered in modern paints so that is has a gloss and depth that belies this truck's blue-collar roots. For a truck designed to play in the dirt, it's exceptionally well done and as I said, it doesn't look like it's done much rough work since it was completed not long ago. Every panel looks factory fresh, with no signs of critical damage or little “oops!” issues from heavy mudding. In fact, this might be the cleanest C/K pickup we've seen in a long time, and there's got to be at least twice the asking price wrapped up in its construction. There are no ...

Every panel looks factory fresh, with no signs of critical damage or little "oops!" issues from heavy mudding. In fact, this might be the cleanest C/K pickup we've seen in a long time, and there's got to be at least twice the asking price wrapped up in its construction. There are no goofy rubber fender flares, no obtrusive tubular steps or bed-mounted roll bars, and shiny chrome bumpers have been retained fore and aft to give the truck a little bling to go with its serious demeanor. Everything fits together well, the panels are properly aligned, and, well, this sucker just doesn't look or act like it has been out stomping around in the dirt. It's seriously straight and clean, not a perfect show-truck, but my goodness does it feel like an understatement calling this 4x4 just a 'driver'. You also get pinstripes down the profile that separates the two colors, a custom billet front grille with an old-school Chevrolet-scripted badge in the center, and 'Chevrolet' written bold white lettering on the tailgate. And while you're back there take a look at the bed - an 8-footer (this is a long-wheel base truck) that's neatly finished with a black spray-in bedliner that's durable enough to handle anything you want to haul.

Once you climb up there, you'll find a beautifully restored interior, featuring newer components everywhere you look, all working together to provide a vintage yet very comfortable place to be. The factory bench was wrapped in a very nice two-tone vinyl cover that matches the exterior paint scheme, and it's comfortable enough to take a nap on. There's that famous Chevy truck 'Western scroll' on the complementary door panels, the black carpet below is plush and protected by heavy-duty mats, and up above the headliner was finished in pleated vinyl that does a great job of tying the whole interior together. The steering column wears a woodgrained 3-spoked steering wheel, and the dash is full of matching wood accents that add a sense of warmth inside. The dash also features a vinyl pad up top, and an array of factory gauges that are augmented with a trio of auxiliary units underneath and a tachometer strapped to the column that keeps an eye on the revs. Other goodies include a factory A/C system with modern R134a refrigerant working under the hood and an updated Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo in the factory dash slot. Get in and turn the key, this K20 is ready to rock!

To get those big tires moving takes serious horsepower and torque, and what better than a big block Chevy V8? This particular 402 V8 is a heck of a runner that's topped with a QuickFuel 4-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake, and it spins out great power up and down the throttle, moving the big long-bed with relative ease. The open-element air cleaner and chrome Chevrolet valve covers quickly give away that this is no stocker, and a big radiator with dual electric fans keeps the whole show nice and cool. Almost everything under the hood has been attended to in one way or another, and the quality of work is just as nice as the rest of the truck, so you can show it off or drive it with equal confidence. The transmission is a quick-shifting, heavy-duty TH400 4-speed automatic driving a two-speed transfer case and rugged axles fore and aft, and it's all incredibly solid and very clean underneath. Long-tube headers feed a throaty H-pipe dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers that sounds great and there's plenty of ground clearance space to help with the rough stuff, but not so tall that it's going to cause problems on regular roads. Helping the truck achieve its impressive altitude are a set of handsome alloy wheels wearing beefy white-letter BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A off-road tires.

There's just no way someone built a truck this pretty then took it out in the field where it could get hurt. But that certainly doesn't mean you can't have a ton of fun with it yourself. Call today!
