SLICK-BUILT STREETROD, 350 V8, AUTO, PWR FRNT DISC/STEER, COILOVERS, R134A A/C!!

If you're going to build a hot rod, going subtle probably isn't the first thing on your mind. With bright red paint and an awesome flame job, this 1933 Ford 3-window coupe is all about getting attention, but it's also the rare rod that's got the horsepower and engineering behind it to be insanely fast and completely ready to cruise.

Finished a few years ago, this spectacular Ford combines a vintage hi-boy look with some modern tech to make one of the most radical yet civilized rods we've experienced. The fiberglass body was completely worked over to make it stand out and then every inch was covered in bright red paint that would have been enough to get a ton of attention. However, they wanted more, so traditional-looking flames lick across the doors and towards the back of the car for an awesome hot rod look. Original touches like the graceful door handles and pointed grille shell all recall the 1930s, and small King-Bee style headlights are perched on the front suspension. The chopped roof and aggressive rake make this one look fast just sitting still, and the detailing makes it stand out once it's parked. Note the simple taillights hanging underneath the rear roll pan, the flush-mounted ... Please ask for the full description.

Note the simple taillights hanging underneath the rear roll pan, the flush-mounted rear deck, and the beautiful panel alignment. This is a really nice rod.

The interior is upscale with black vinyl, red suede accents, and a few whimsical touches. The form-fitting bench is comfortable for long cruises and there's a surprising amount of legroom in the sleek coupe. The flamed steering wheel has a look that works with this car's theme and adds a flash of contrast that actually works rather well. There's a full set of VDO dials arrayed in a custom billet instrument panel that echoes the original 1933 piece. Most of the secondary controls are discreet aluminum knobs and it's all finished well enough to be used daily. The door panels are beautifully sculpted and accented with billet hardware, there's a Lokar shifter in the center and black carpets on the floor. Comfort upgrades include ice cold A/C, power windows, and remote door openers with hidden back-ups that we'll refrain from mentioning here for obvious reasons. The trunk is neatly upholstered with matching black carpets and includes fuel cell access and a remote-mounted battery.

The engine is a 350 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 that was built for combat. It sports the usual upgrades, including an Edelbrock carburetor, aluminum heads, HEI ignition, and a set of beautiful Sanderson headers. A few chrome and billet dress-up pieces make it look like it belongs in a flamed and chopped coupe and you can't argue with the way it runs. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic and it feeds a sturdy Ford 9-inch rear end. The front suspension is fully chromed and everything under the car was detailed to match the bodywork, although it now shows some expected signs of use. Coil-overs hold up both ends of the car so you can fine-tune the ride height to your tastes and the dual exhaust system has turn-downs just under the rear axle so it sounds amazing. Beautiful Billet Specialties wheels are fitted with a traditional-looking big-n-little tire combination in modern sizes: 215/50/17s up front and giant 275/55/20s out back.

Nicely built and well sorted, this is a rod you can buy with confidence because it's been driven enough to prove its reliability. That's always the best kind of car to own. Call today!
