PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT 5.3L V8, TRICK-FLOW HEADS, LOADED, LOTS OF POWER ON TAP!
While we specialize in collector vehicles here at Streetside Classics, there's always room for something a little more practical in our showrooms. With upgrades that give this 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup a great look, it could be considered a hobby vehicle, but given the very reasonable price, the freshly rebuilt engine, and heavy-duty underpinnings, this can still be an awesome work truck for someone on a budget.
The dark green paint is original, and after nearly 14 years, it still looks fantastic. Of course there are a few signs of use and age, and it has been used as intended, but it has not been a professional work truck and has never seen winter weather, so it's in fine condition overall. The subtle look works rather well on something that's nearly seven feet tall, because there's just no need to call a lot of attention to yourself. On the other hand, with tinted windows, smoked lighting, a custom grille, and a few other custom touches, it doesn't look very ordinary. Someone obviously loved this truck and polished up the paint regularly, so there's a nice shine, and as is typical of recent Chevy trucks, build quality is quite good. It doesn't mind working to earn its keep, either, thanks to a rugged drop-in plastic bedliner and a trailer hitch, it'll do anything you'd like it to do and look great doing it.
Chevy trucks have come a long way in terms of comfort, and this Silverado is outfitted in a way that would make a Cadillac owner jealous just a few years ago. Handsome tan cloth buckets are all-day comfortable for long hauls and aside from some very minor wear on the driver's seat and a tiny split down low, it's all in fantastic shape. Everything is included, from A/C to power windows, locks, mirrors, and seats, to a powerful aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo system, and obviously it all works. A leather-wrapped tilt wheel, big analog gauges, and knobs and dials that are big enough to operate with gloves on, all make this truck feel substantial and durable. The wide center console is a practical spot to stash small items and a set of big cup holders will hold more than you can on long drives. There's a Bully Dog programmer screen mounted in the top corner of the cab, which makes it easy to tune the engine on the fly. And the back seat look like new and is big enough for real-sized people. Nice!
The 5.3 liter V8 has just been rebuilt with numerous upgrades, including a set of Trick Flow heads, Harland-Sharp rocker arms, an upgraded camshaft, and the aforementioned programmer. It runs like a stocker, but there's considerably more power on tap at all speeds and despite being a big truck, this rig moves like it weighs a lot less than it does. They also took the time to tidy up the engine bay, adding a K&N air cold air kit and some dress-up on the intake manifold and rocker covers. The rest is stock, so it steers and stops well thanks to new Moog suspension parts. The 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission was also rebuilt with a shift kit and upgraded internals to handle the added power and improve reliability, and the exhaust sounds Heroic thanks to long-tube headers and a big Flowmaster muffler. It's extremely clean underneath and uses a modest 2-inch lift/leveling kit to give it that big truck stance. 2015 Silverado wheels were powdercoated black and carry big 265/55/18 Goodyear Wrangler radials.
This is a ton of truck for the money; just the engine and transmission rebuilds cost a significant portion of the asking price. Work or play, this truck is ready. Call today!
