Charger SRT-8 Widebody
6.4L HEMI, HENNESSEY SUPERCHARGED, CUSTOM WIDEBODY, 24" CUSTOM FORGIES, INSANE!
This is not just another garden-variety Charger with some big wheels. Look closely and you'll find one of the nastiest 4-door sedans on the planet, a car that needs such massive tires that the rear quarters and doors were stretched six inches each just to cover them. No, this 2013 Dodge Charger SRT-8 more than delivers on its astounding good looks.
Basic black has always looked great on Dodge's bad boy sedan, and there's scarcely a better choice for a car that can break hearts on the street like this one does. The incredible bodywork that stretches the rear of the car an astounding twelve inches is so masterfully done that it looks like the factory did it. Blending it into the rear door has to be difficult, but it looks right and the doors still work like they should. Once the stretch was done, they laid down some high-gloss paint that's better than anything the factory was spraying and finished the hood with a matte gray wrap, which also extends to the roof, the trunk, and the custom rear wing that looks factory but covers the extra-wide tail. There's also a custom bumper that tucks in just the way the factory would have done it and the original taillight unit slots right in. Cool halo headlights, a deeper chin spoiler, and a minimum of name plates and graphics make this car look clean and incredibly potent. You're not going to want to tangle with this one on the street.
The interior isn't much changed from stock, but that's a good thing because Chrysler gave their SRT models deeply sculpted bucket seats with beautiful contrasting stitch work, a carbon fiber dash, and every comfort and convenience item you can imagine. Just because it has four doors and an automatic transmission doesn't mean this Charger isn't for drivers, and once you're settled behind that fat leather-wrapped wheel, you'll find a full set of analog dials that glow brightly when you turn the key. There's custom embroidery on the seats just to remind everyone that this isn't your average 4-door and the thundering custom stereo with JL subwoofers and a big amplifier to firm up the bass. You can still drive this car every day: the A/C is ice cold, the power windows, locks, and mirrors make getting comfortable easy, and the back seat is still fully functional for guests. Even the trunk still has decent space with that big custom enclosure in there.
The engine is the factory 6.4 liter HEMI V8, which, by itself, cranks out enough power to make most cars run and hide. However, this one has been tuned by the magicians at Hennessey and it packs a Hennessey HPE650 supercharger, upgraded cams, larger fuel injectors, and a set of custom Kooks headers to take horsepower up to Hellcat levels. It looks fairly OEM under the hood and if you keep your foot out of it, it drives like a stocker, but if you open it up, you're going to need every millimeter of those 405-section rear tires. The 5-speed automatic transmission snaps off lightning-fast shifts so all you need to do is stomp and steer and with upgraded Bilstein shocks, Brembo 4-piston calipers, and a Flowmaster exhaust system, the car has the support staff to make it safe and easy to handle. Gorgeous 24-inch Forgiato wheels powdercoated matte black and if you look closely, you can see for whom they were custom made. Too cool!
A former DUB magazine cover and Forgiato catalog car, this Charger nails the sinister look and fortunately brings enough firepower to the party to more than back it up. Call now!
