International Harvester trucks get extra respect. After all, while some pickups represent the most rugged part of a manufacturer's lineup, IH mostly made industrial-grade equipment. When you open the hood, the bright and tidy style and bow tie valve covers instantly announce this has an upgrade. A motor like Chevy's 350 cubic-inch V8 has the same robust reputation as IH machinery, and so it's a worthy addition. And this even has later features like center-bolt valve covers and a serpentine belt system. There are even nice supporting components everywhere from the aluminum radiator to the auxiliary fuel tank in the bed. This V8 inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and rumble as headers feed the dual exhaust. Power steering, power brakes, and front discs make for an easy driver. We even have $11k in receipts over the last couple of years that document a nice investment in keeping this a solid driver, including a new TH400 three-speed automatic transmission. And this is a true 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case to make sure that this sharp-looking 200 pickup can uphold the versatile reputation of International Harvester.
