This 1971 Chevrolet Nova has the look, the sound, and the 400 hp V8 heart of intimidation. The great part of this you can get the Yenko power and fierceness for a fraction of the price.
Third-generation Novas are great cars. The fastback styling of the coupe combined with the reputation for being real "sleeper" performance machines make these a highly desired classic. Now take it up a notch with such a great paint scheme, the cool blacked-out grille and rear panel of the SS packaging, and you have a real winner. It really stands out against factory-correct Ascot Blue paint. But the real cherry on this one is the white vinyl Yenko stripe packaging that pays tribute to the best performance dealer Chevrolet ever had. The easy-to-grip three-spoke steering wheel with Yenko emblem adds a bit of a sporty look to the correctly simple surroundings. Factory gauges cover the basics of speed and fuel level, with a trio of SunPro auxiliary dials hanging under the dash for watching oil pressure, temperature, and voltage. Cars like this didn't come with a radio, and while it's supposed to be for saving weight, we all really know nothing can top the thundering soundtrack that happens when you row through the Hurst Indy shifter.
Grab some sunglasses before popping the hood, berceuse everything has been polished (even components you've never thought of before!) So while you'll love showing this off every chance you get, don't forget to look beyond the shine for the serious performance within. It's a fully-built 350 cubic-inch engine by the Chevy V8 guru Skip White. This is a Stage 1 crate motor with components like a B&M air grabber, hi-rise intake, aluminum Patriot Freedom heads, and a Quick Fuel four-barrel carburetor. The full package is rated around 400 horsepower. Everyone will know your huge power package the moment you fire this one up and the long-tube headers feed the rumbling FlowMaster dual exhaust. Making sure you've got complete control of this power all the way to the ground is the four-speed manual that feeds the stout 12-bolt rear end. In fact, this whole setup is designed to keep you reliably going down the road with support components like the aluminum radiator, electric fan, Mallory ignition, upgraded rear shocks, and power steering.
