CLEAN, ZZ1 350 V8, HUGHES TH350, FRONT PWR DISCS, PWR STEER, AUBURN POSI, NICE!

Here's very mean green machine inside and out. This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro takes all the pieces you love about a Chevy and amplifies them – the addition of the beautiful split-bumper to clone a RS, upgraded but original interior, and a performance-built 350 ZZ1 410 hp crate motor under the hood.

For Camaro fans, this is one of the cleanest, sleekest cars they ever made. 1970 is the first year for the split bumper RS that taught the Europeans a thing or two about style, and the sleek rear has a hint of overhang that came from designers not engineers. You also get a matching spoiler used on the Z28 in this sale if you want to go a little bolder, but this car has been thoughtfully built to look good, but be subtle. This feeling starts with the paint. Its been upgraded from the factory Green Mist to a more modern Jade Pearl. The color is truly important, because it looks great in the sunshine when you want to show off, but it also isn't so flashy that people won't instantly realize just how much this Camaro was built to tear up the streets. In fact, if no one notices the Weld-style wheels from Cragar (especially the wide rear ones) then this just looks like a clean classic Camaro with a ... Please ask for the full description.

In fact, if no one notices the Weld-style wheels from Cragar (especially the wide rear ones) then this just looks like a clean classic Camaro with a clean body and uniform gaps...their mistake.

Most other cars from this era have been altered to black, but this one stands out because of the factory green. It's very original but restored in high use areas, like the new door panels. All of these investments remind you that green and pristine rhyme. High back bucket seats, optional center console, and newly added classic Chevy sports steering wheel makes this Camaro inviting and very cool. So, be prepared to get complements from strangers on the 70s classic appearance...and that's before they spot any of the upgrades. The factory gauges remain in the wraparound dash, and there are shiny auxiliary readouts added in the center. Plus, the large SunPro tach on the dash is a clear indicator that this is far from stock. You'll be glad this has the iconic horseshoe shifter that is great to rest you hand on, it's also great for banging your own way through the gears when you feel like going fast. And since you've noticed that little red button next to it, yes, the owner recently installed a line lock system for more fun. Entertainment comes from both the pedal under your right foot and an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo in the dash with a powerful subwoofer mounted in the trunk.

Under the hood is going to be your favorite upgrade. Sure, this V8 looks great with the chrome air cleaner, valve covers, and expensive shiny pulleys, but there is some serious substance beyond the shine. It's ZZ1 350 crate motor with four-bolt mains, a forged crank, and GM "pink" rods. Fresh pistons, aluminum heads from an L98 Corvette, and a full roller valve train ensure reliability and performance. Everything about this motor is race-grade, from the windage tray, to the Holley Street Avenger 675 CFM carburetor up top. The full package gets you 410 hp on pump gas. Long-tube Hedman headers feed a dual exhaust system that has a rumble to scare lesser cars off on its own. This mates to a Hughes Performance street/strip TH350 three-speed automatic with a 3500 RPM stall converter and the new line lock – so you know we weren't joking about shifting the horseshoe on your own! Power reliably gets to the ground via 10-bolt rear with an Auburn 3.73 limited slip and Strange axles. There's even a nice set of traction bars to make sure those new wide BF Goodrich T/A tires hookup with the pavement instantly. But more than just great for the strip, this Camaro also has power steering, front disc brakes, and new upper & lower control arm bushings, so you feel solid and in control even on a country road.
