READY TO SHOW & GO! GREAT PAINT! ZZ383 V8, 700R4 AUTO, VINTAGE AIR A/C, NICE!

This 1941 Willys Coupe Pro Touring is the veritable definition of splendid overkill. The compact body has been stuffed with a fuel injected ZZ383 Stroker V8, a snug-fitting and comfortable custom leather interior, and an outrageous black paint job with expertly air brushed flames that is the best head-turner currently in our showroom. If you're out to get noticed, this is definitely the right car for the job.

Second only to Ford's line of 3-window coupes in terms of popularity, the 1941 Willys has the right look for the pro-street makeover. The body seems to be just barely big enough to contain the mechanicals within, but it's got a super-aggressive presence about it, and with those teardrop-shaped headlights and electric shaver grille, there's no mistaking it for anything else on the road. The fiberglass body is beautifully finished, showing expert workmanship from every angle, with doors that fit flush and a modified hood that features a subtle scoop (well, subtle for a built Willys that is) that looks awesome without being too obnoxious to the point the driver can't see out of the windshield. The miles-deep black paint seems to glow from within like it's radioactive or something, and ... Please ask for the full description.

The miles-deep black paint seems to glow from within like it's radioactive or something, and the blue flames were done exactly right-visible, but subtle enough not to completely dominate the overall look of this bad boy. Shaved door handles, trick side mirrors, hidden hinges, and billet rectangle taillights are the kinds of little details that add up to a big effect on the overall look. It's easy to see why these are so popular, and why this one stands out from the crowd.

There's actually more room inside the fully custom interior than you'd expect by looking at the coupe bodywork, and the deeply bolstered leather buckets make it easy to spend time there. A tilt column with a sporty Grant wheel is a big improvement over the original Willys' school bus-style steering gear, and the dash is air-brushed with blue flames like the exterior and carries a full array of easy-to-read, white-face Auto Meter gauges. Cool eyeball vents manage the airflow from the Vintage Air A/C system, whose controls are just above the Sony AM/FM/iPod compatible stereo head unit in the custom under-dash extension. A B&M shifter manages the Hughes 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, and you'll also note the custom flame-patterned door panels and plush carpets. The trunk has been upholstered in black carpet as well and contains two booming MTX subwoofers and the gast-tank and battery panel access. Despite the massive wheel tubs, there's actually a decent amount of storage in there if you'd care to take a long trip in this slick coupe.

Better bring your liquid-cooled gas card with you when you go, because making big power is what the ferocious, 425 horsepower ZZ383 Crate V8 under the hood does best. This small block monster inhales through an Edelbrock Pro-Flow fuel injection system and delivers RIGHT NOW throttle response that is ready to start collecting pink slips out on the street. Seriously, this thing hits warp drive before you can get your foot on the floor, so make sure it's pointed where you want it to go before you stomp on the loud pedal. It's also beautiful to look at, with lots of chrome and polished aluminum plus a compact accessory serpentine system that puts all the components in exactly the right place for the Willys' engine bay. The A/C uses R134a refrigerant, so it's easy to service, and a big aluminum Griffin radiator up front means you don't have to worry about using it to stay cool. The aforementioned Hughes 700R4 overdrive transmission has been heavily reinforced with a shift-kit and 2000 stall convertor, and spins a narrowed Mosier Ford 9-inch rear with 4.11 gears hanging on a 4-link with coilovers setup. Up front there's coilovers as well, along with a Mustang II front end, and power front disc brakes bring the whole smoke show to a stop. Twin Hushpower chambered mufflers that exit on the sides provide an awesome soundtrack, and the traditional big-n-little tire combination is provided by 26x7.5x15 front and 31x16.5x15 rear Hoosier pro-street tires wrapped around slick Budnick wheels.

Outrageously fast and tons of fun, this expertly built rod is a turn-key piece that is more than just pretty. And the price is right too, you couldn't even build half of this car for the current list price, making it one of the better values in our showroom today. Call now!
