This 1965 Ford Mustang has the color theme and details that will remind you of a Shelby GT350H. And considering that this one also has a fuel-injected V8 heart, five-speed, and an upgraded suspension, it's even more fun to drive than those snake-bitten pony cars.
This is a very cool custom presentation of an icon. The black paint with gold stripes painted on top borrows the Shelby GT350 Hertz livery that we all love. The hood scoop even contributes to this Shelby style. Plus, there's a nice overall look of a classic pony car with nice chrome, good body lines, and a glossy but driver-ready style to the finish. But this one also makes sure to subtly announce it's an updated machine. The headlights are a modern LED style. Also, while the wheels have the classic Mag 500 appearance, they are really larger and wider so that you can fit a nice set of modern sport tires.
Just like the exterior, the interior takes the classic style and gives it some nice upgrades. For starters, you still get the same low-back bucket seat profile you love in an early Mustang, but now there's an armrest center console in-between.
Plush carpeting, good upholstery, and a smooth dash show an eye for keeping this a nice place to spend some time. You'll appreciate nice cruiser details, like the upgraded stereo speakers (the radio may need updating), cup holders, and billet door handles. Plus, this has a driver-ready attitude with the wood-rimmed sports steering wheel and Hurst floor shifter. There's even an EFI controller in the center console to signal that you'll really love what's under the hood.
Under the hood is a tidy and polished setup that's a sure sign of a proper investment. This is a fox-body generation 302 cubic-inch V8. We're told this is a fully built motor that includes a .30 bored over block, 180cc aluminum heads, a 600 lift hydraulic roller camshaft, and roller rockers. The Hooker headers feed into an X-pipe dual exhaust with Pypes mufflers. And the full package is topped with a Holley electronic fuel injection system for the best in power and consistency. There are also nice supporting components, like an aluminum radiator, an electric fan, upgraded pulleys, an E3 Diamond Fire ignition, and an Optima red top battery. The full package is said to produce 415 horsepower, and you take firm control of it thanks to the five-speed manual transmission featuring a hydraulic dual friction clutch. As you look underneath, you can also see a newer front end, newer bushings, and Caltracs bars on the rear suspension as part of the confident handling package. There's also rack & pinion power steering, power brakes, and front discs for a solid total driver.
This Mustang has the Shelby style you love that the performance upgrades you crave. That's why it's an irresistible coupe you need in your garage. Call today!!!
