This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 427 tribute has the right vibrant look, serious Dart-block V8 power, four-wheel disc brakes, and upgraded control of a five-speed. And while we're told there's only about 5k miles on the full build, as you dig deeper, you're going to discover the kind of classic that you're going to love driving.
This first-gen Camaro deserves an upgrade to a bold Corvette Red. It was painted in Arizona around 2000, and it was a desirable AZ car for many years. We're told it was given 7 coats of red and 10 coats of clearcoat on top. Plus, the chrome bumpers and brightwork trim were also given a solid investment to keep it all looking stylish. And because this Camaro is still a speedy machine at heart, you have iconic SS features like the hood vent trim, blackout grille, D80 rear spoiler, and shiny Rally wheel package.
Black interiors always look stylish against red exteriors. The upholstery, carpeting, dash pad, door panels, and headliner have a dark and quality appearance.
Not only is this attractive, but the interior really drives home the idea of a driver's car. It's more comfortable than your average classic with features like power windows, power steering, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely needs a recharge to blow cold again.) Front bucket seats and a center console mean a true driver's setup. There are some great sporty details, like the Hurst shifter, auxiliary gauges, and the wood-rimmed sports steering wheel.
The engine bay has the best upgrades of them all. 427 cubic inches is a magic displacement for Camaro fans that only came on special order cases like the Yenko COPO cars. But this one does it even better. The Dart performance block delivers the special big block displacement but in a lighter small block configuration. It's built with the right pieces, like Edelbrock aluminum heads, an MSD ignition, and headers feeding the H-pipe dual exhaust. It's topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake, but for those who want to own the streets a dual-quad carb and intake setup also comes with the sale. The upgrade to a Tremec five-speed manual transmission is always desirable because it gives you better ratios and an extra gear to enjoy the V8 power to the fullest. Plus, subframe connectors, traction bars, and four-wheel disc brakes upgrade your driving confidence.
The sale comes complete with car covers, car dusters, build photos, a magazine feature, and more. So you can really tell this was a thoughtful build treated with the proper respect. So when you want a bold power car that's also comfortable and stunning, call today!
