This 1980 Jeep CJ7 Laredo is a sharp-looking low-mileage 4x4. More than just stylish, you'll love to discover that this has been under the care of the same owner for all its life so far. It makes for decades of higher-level mindfulness and investments. And there's even great paperwork to tell this Jeep's tale, too. So the beauty of this CJ is far more than just skin deep.
The factory-correct Navy Blue paint is also the factory-original application. That's the difference you get on a one-owner Jeep that has averaged under 950 miles annually. It continues to be quite attractive with a good shine and just the right hints of age that help you tell this 4x4's unique story. Plus, the silver decal package is a comprehensive style that looks really good against the deep blue. It highlights the style lines in the hood, fenders, and rockers. This two-tone silver also complements the full brightwork package that includes the grille, bumpers, side mirrors, and 15-inch wheels (including the full-size spare on the swing-away mount.) And since this has been a carefully-kept machine for 40+ years, you get the little extras, like the rarely-seen rear storage box. In fact, the only thing that we ... Description
In fact, the only thing that we can see that's not stock is the upgraded front end with lights and a winch. But of course, it always looks correct on a capable Jeep.
The factory black soft top goes well with the dark Navy Blue, and when you take it down, it reveals an attractive and preserved black interior. The driver gets a command position with the high-back bucket seat, grippy stock steering wheel, and the Laredo premium gauges package with handy tach. And speaking of the Laredo-level features, this has the right vintage premium feeling. It includes the center console, good carpeting, a padded roll bar, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. There's even a Cobra CB radio added. So it's an impressive survivor that captures its era correctly.
Under the hood is the 2.5-liter four-cylinder motor. Of course, we all know about hardy AMC inline-sixes and even plenty of V8s that will fit in the engine bay. But we really like this set up the way it is now because it's the numbers-matching powerhouse that goes to the heart of this CJ's uniquely authentic total package. And this GM-based Iron Duke motor is a workhorse. You can tell it has been given good maintenance, including newer items like the battery, belt, hoses, plugs, wires, and valve cover gasket. And the way this fires up and runs reaffirms its eagerness to continue pleasing today. The four-speed manual transmission gives you proper control, and features like power steering and front disc brakes make for a solid driving package. And of course, this CJ7 has the proper two-speed 4x4 transfer case of a true go-anywhere Jeep.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's manual packet, and maintenance receipts. It takes a rarity like a one-owner vehicle to find a Jeep of this caliber. So this has a level of fit, finish, and care you may never find again, so don't miss your chance. Call today!!!
