BELIEVED ORIGINAL MILES, ORIGINAL COLORS, MARTI REPORT, SPORTS RAODSTER TONNEAU

Many believe the third generation Thunderbird is where Ford really got their idea of a personal luxury cruiser together, and this 1962 Ford Thunderbird Sports Roadster tribute shows all the reasons why. With its fantastic good looks and a known history, this will impress you with its well-kept survivor-like preservation. And it even has the cool upgrade to the Sports Roadster tonneau,

This Thunderbird is about showcasing that brief time in automotive history when designers ruled over engineers, and they got to build the cars they wanted. A sleekly rounded hood that ends at a point to give the Thunderbird a true beak. A chrome line that runs from the front point to the tailfin. Those jet-inspired taillights are prominent thanks to a bright bumper that tapers inwards. All the intricate design work needs to be as complete and straight as this T-bird is to really make an impression wherever it goes. That's why you want a well-respected example like this. It is reported to have had only three owners over the last 60 years, and there has been a bit of known history passed between them to where the low odometer is believed to represent the full actual mileage (averaging about 725 miles ...

It is reported to have had only three owners over the last 60 years, and there has been a bit of known history passed between them to where the low odometer is believed to represent the full actual mileage (averaging about 725 miles annually.) The trim tag tells us this is in its original color combo. The Corinthian White not only looks correct, but it's also a classic enamel application. So it's possibly original or a very convincing classic restoration. Looking correct is key because this convertible is also rare. There were less than 10,000 T-bird convertibles produced in 1962, and 60 years later it will be quite hard to find one with this level of commitment to originality and care. The only upgrade you'll really spot is the matching white tonneau cover that goes over the back seats. It doesn't alter the body, but it does give this the ultra-desirable and ultra-sleek look of the Sports Roadster.

The white convertible top was correctly replaced in 2016 and the mechanism was restored. So it powers down with little assistance, and you can do it with the Sports Roadster tonneau in place. And you'll want to do that often because the red interior makes for a great color combo with the exterior's creamy white. This T-bird is a beautiful mix of '60s cool design and high-end luxury. Bucket seats and a console were the only way to get your third-generation Thunderbird. The beautiful round gauges have an elegant look with each in their own pod, and the band of anodized aluminum trim stretching across the dash and into the doors adds some great contrast. When the tonneau cover is off there's plenty of room in the back for full-sized adults. And everyone will love the authentic style seen everywhere from the AM radio that's there for a display to Ford's exclusive swing-away steering column.

The engine bay has the same authentic style as the rest of the car. So it looks good with the gold valve covers, clean white inner fenders, and even the correct FoMoCo washer fluid bag. Ford's large 390 cubic-inch V8 was what Ford used to make sure that this substantial-size convertible had the power and torque to cruise with confidence. It fires up nicely with an authoritative hum out of the dual exhaust that seems perfect for this mature T-Bird. The Cruise-O-Matic auto trans, power steering, and power brakes all work in harmony to help keep the ride luxurious. Plus, those Kelsey Hayes style chrome wire wheels are another great hallmark of the Roadster model. And mounted to those wheels are modern cruising tires disguised as classic whitewalls.

Complete with build receipts, this has the history, style, and substance that makes for an awesome stand-out classic. So if you want the ultimate personal luxury drop-top classic, call today!
