With its sleek lines and commanding overall demeanor, the Plymouth GTX rightfully earned the nickname "the gentleman's muscle car." This 1969 Plymouth GTX is one very fine specimen of the model. It looks and runs great and harbors big block power under its hood in the form of the very engine most coveted on the MoPar muscle cars of its era.

The exterior on this GTX exudes curb appeal you'll pick up on while still a distance away. Its Blue Fire paint is in great shape - it just received a multi stage detail and doesn't just shine but radiates. The pair of broad stripes running the length of the hood have a nice matte texture to them that contrasts with the glow of the paint and have nice, sharp edges. It's a generously sized muscle car: long and angular with a spacious cabin and its body lines are very much on point. Take a closer look and you can appreciate just how uniform those gaps surrounding the hood, doors and deck lid are. The Plymouths of this era didn't feature a lot of chrome, which really allows the paint to take center stage, but what's on display here is in uniformly good condition - the GTX badging on the rear quarter panels is sharp and the front and back bumpers look very clean, as does the trim surrounding the windows.

The interior on this vintage Plymouth has been very well maintained and it's received some nice refurbishment while still retaining an overall factory appearance. Both the front buckets and rear bench seat wear black vinyl covers that look very fresh and the substantial amount of real estate separating them is a nice by-product of this GTX's dimensions - you'll have no shortage of eager passengers and when they climb in back, they'll be plenty comfortable. There's clean, unspoiled black carpeting lining the floor and the door panels to each side feature very sharp woodgrain accents that appear to have been recently applied, with painted black sections just above that glow with a mirror-like shine. That instantly recognizable Hurst shifter sits within easy reach and provides a great feel as you put this classic through its paces. The dash area is yet another strong feature - its set of factory gauges are clear as can be and the dash running over the top is free of any cracks. Everything looks solid with the spacious trunk area in back and a full-size spare securely stowed in place.

Raise the hood and you'll see an engine compartment as clean as any you'll likely encounter, at the center of which is a 440 cubic inch V8 - the big block most closely associated with the high performance MoPar cars of this era. Carrying a 4-barrel Edelbrock carb under its painted oval air cleaner, the engine is running very strong and teams with a 4-speed manual A833 transmission that's shifting great - the clutch action is particularly smooth as you run through the gears. With a dual Flowmaster exhaust in place, this vintage Plymouth has a commanding exhaust note to serve notice of your arrival as it scorches the asphalt on its set of 15" Keystone wheels wearing BF Goodrich T/A Radials.

This 1969 Plymouth GTX is an outstanding example of its manufacturer's design and engineering wizardry during this era and its stellar running condition and clean condition put it in very select company. Call today!
