When you build a muscle car wish list, it reads like this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. It has a strong numbers-matching 350 V8, a four-speed, A/C, and the kind of attention to detail that defines the cars we all want to own.
Garnet Red is the color we all love on the '69 Camaro because it's the best hue to express the coupe aggressiveness. But if you're out to attract attention in red, you better make sure it's on a car with bodywork as straight as this one. The striking appearance is thanks to a full restoration, from just a few years ago, that gave this SS a shine that's miles deep, excellent gaps, and a final polish that makes this sports car look like it was made out of liquid. Add in the black hockey stick stripe, and a matching black vinyl top, and you get a car that balances intimidation with class. As a true Camaro SS, you also get the front spoiler, rear ducktail spoiler, and the optional special five-spoke SS wheels.
More evidence of this full restoration is apparent the moment you open the door. The acres of black on the bucket seats, door panels, and carpets, all feel factory fresh. A center console with a chrome gearshift is the focal point of this car's interior, but ... Please ask for the full description.

A center console with a chrome gearshift is the focal point of this car's interior, but once you slip behind the wheel, the woodgrain on the steering wheel and dash warms the place up nicely. And speaking of luxury, you get the comfort of a period-correct AM/FM radio, an iPod input for more modern tunes, and an ice cold air conditioning system running R-134a for easy servicing. But, you know this is a driver's car. That's why it's got proper auxiliary gauges down on the console. There's also the optional tachometer in the main instrument panel, which was a separate option and very welcome here.
Under the hood is exactly what makes this Camaro a cut above. This is the original, numbers-matching, L48 350 cubic-inch V8, wearing the correct Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor. From the single snorkel air cleaner, to the finned valve covers, to the Chevy Orange block, it has a ton of eyeball appeal. And, it's not just the motor that will have you bragging about originality. This one also has the same Muncie M20 four-speed manual that was installed at Chevy's Norwood factory over 45 years ago. You'll even see that the factory markings were reproduced from the firewall all the way underneath to the 12-bolt Positraction rear end. This motor was rated at 300 hp from the factory, and the dual exhaust does a fantastic job of announcing this to everyone. But as much as this is a great muscle machine, this Camaro is also a fine cruiser, with features like power steering, front disc brakes, and modern BF Goodrich rubber at all four corners.
This is a very high-quality F-body that's backed up by the owner's manual, reproduction window sticker, and restoration receipts. It's time to get your hands on a true SS that can be driven or shown with equal confidence. Don't miss out on this fine piece of automotive art...call today!!
