This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS tribute has all the right iconic pieces from a distinct color to a houndstooth interior, but that's not what makes it so special. Instead, this has been given the right investments to be a sharp-driving pro-touring coupe. This means a 468ci big block, a sports suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a five-speed to control it all.
This coupe likes to keep a classic style where even the upgrades don't take you away from the vintage feeling. For example, the Sunburst Orange metallic paint reminds us of Corvette Bronze - a Camaro color exclusive to 1968. But the extra brightness and glow from this modern finish help give this a distinctive attitude. There are minor signs of enjoyment that tell you it's a true driver's car, but you will be proudly showing this one off. The gaps are even, form-hugging bumpers are bright, the headlights are clear, and the trim is complete to give this the look of quality. The light paint also makes for a nice look to the car's touch of a dark side that includes the D91 sports stripe, blackout grille, chin spoiler, and the blackout rear panel (a nod to the big block under the hood.) The velocity stack hood trim, D80 full-width ... Please ask for the full description.

The light paint also makes for a nice look to the car's touch of a dark side that includes the D91 sports stripe, blackout grille, chin spoiler, and the blackout rear panel (a nod to the big block under the hood.) The velocity stack hood trim, D80 full-width rear spoiler, and SS badging are also all part of that classic performance look you want on a Super Sport tribute. And the modern 19-inch Variant wheels are a true standout upgrade that gives this a stance that instantly announces there is more here than just vintage appeal.
The interior has the clean look of a solid investment, and all that darkness means the iconic style of the houndstooth cloth seat inserts are almost glowing against the black. This deluxe upholstery also means the insignia trim on the seatbacks and the longer armrest built into the doors. It's an attractive detailed style with clean carpeting, a smooth dash pad, and a good headliner. So it's quite an inviting atmosphere. You may choose to restore the air conditioning (newer components that likely just need servicing) or add a stereo, but the real appeal here is how much it engages the driver. You have the classic-style Chevy sports steering wheel, power steering, and a fully upgraded gauge package that includes a large speedo and tach. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?
The callouts on the fenders might say 396, but you're looking at something quite larger under the hood. It's a 454 cubic-inch V8 bored over for a total of 468ci. And while that's a monster displacement, it has been further upgraded with a large Holley performance four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, an aluminum radiator, and headers. There's even an upgraded cam to give a nice tune to the dual exhaust. It's nothing too raucous in its power, delivery, or sound, because after all, this was made for driving, but it does give you the right feeling you want in a big block Camaro. And you have full control over how this one behaves thanks to the Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission. As you look underneath, you'll also see investment in a full Ridetech suspension. This includes tubular front arms, a four-link rear, and adjustable coilovers all around. Plus, the Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes system with drilled & slotted rotors, subframe connectors, and grippy ZR-rated tires make for an all-around solid sports car.
Complete with build receipts, this is the SS tribute that's been given the right custom touches for extra power and distinction. Don't miss this coupe, call today!!!
