This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass W-31 Tribute has a terrific sense of classic style. It's in the cool/correct paint package, dog dish hubcaps, and factory-replicated markings and decals. And the numbers-matching V8 even has the awesome-looking Force-Air Induction System.
The factory-correct Aegean Aqua has a beautifully bright glow that shows off the super-straight body. We're told it was actually done in the late 1980s, but the presentation would never suggest it. If you didn't tell anyone, most people will either assume it's far younger or that you have an awesome survivor. So the basic feeling is a car that looks radiant in the sunshine and the kind of finish that's ready for a Sunday drive. For those not familiar with the W-31 package, it was a rarely seen feature that brought big power to the 350 motor. So it was the lighter sibling to the 442 with a rarity that often makes it one of the most desirable power Oldsmobiles. So a tribute car needs to have the right speedy style. So you get a terrific set of white racing stripes to show off the air scoops in the W25-style fiberglass Ram Air hood. These go with the white steaks painted down the sides that help showcase the flared fenders. Color-matched steel wheels, dog dish hubcaps, Firestone Wide Oval tires, and a big rear spoiler are all part of an authentic 1970s muscle car style.
The ivory interior is pure Oldsmobile. The handsome button-pattern seats have to be this pristine because they attract so much attention. Of course, as an Olds, there's plenty of burled walnut applique on the dash and door panels. And, when the wood-like appearance is this good, it does a very nice job of adding character to the interior. There's comfortable seating for up to six, but this is a true driver's car at heart. This has been upgraded to look like a factory racer with the radio and heater deletes. You have the correct-style Olds four-spoke sports steering wheel, full gauges with tach, a Hurst shifter, and classic-style Stewart Warner readouts under the dash.
When you're a proper tribute to a power car, you want to see an engine bay like this. We love the look of Oldsmobile's big Force-Air Induction System feeding the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8 underneath. The whole setup is so tidy that you can also see everything from the golden glow of the Olds motor to the reproduction factory markings. The whole powertrain is quite impressive (so don't forget to look at the undercarriage photos!) It's a strong and eager powerhouse that you take full control of with the four-speed manual transmission. This feeds into a desirable 12-bolt rear with a W-27 diff cover. This likes to be an old-school kind of muscle machine that likes you to feel the road, but you still have the right features for proper control. That means front disc brakes, boxed rear trailing arms, and a thick rear sway bar.
Complete with the owner's manual, this is a faithful W-31 tribute that offers power, fun, and distinction. Call today!!!
