UNREAL RESTO, 5 SPEED, LASER STRAIGHT, DEEP BLACK PAINT, CUSTOM INTERIOR, A/C!

Now before you look at the price, it's important to realize that this is unquestionably the nicest 1965 Mustang coupe we've ever seen. Hundreds of these cars have passed through our showroom and none could measure up to this incredible black pro-touring build.

The goal was to build a car that would stop people in their tracks, and this incredible coupe nails it. Black paint was planned from the beginning, so that factory sheetmetal was massaged and smoothed to be worthy of the lustrous 2-stage urethane finish that leaves nothing to the imagination. Body mods are minimal but have a huge impact on the overall look. Up front there's a Shelby GT350-R style bumper with center opening, there's a modest hood scoop, and in back, a subtle lip spoiler was added and a custom roll pan fabricated. The Mustang DNA is unmistakable, but the workmanship that went into the build is nothing short of amazing. Badges were shaved and a Shelby-style grille was installed up front, and a body-colored bumper in back helps give it a muscular look. Heck, this might not just be the best Mustang coupe we've ever seen, but perhaps the finest black car we've ever featured.

The interior is equally astounding, lined in ... Please ask for the full description.

The interior is equally astounding, lined in tobacco-colored leather that offers a passing nod to the original but steps it up by several orders of magnitude. Stitched together at a claimed cost of over $10,000, the leather wraps around well-bolstered bucket seats and a custom center console, making this vintage pony feel a lot less, well, vintage. The original dash was reworked with a matching dash pad and a full array of silver-faced Haneline gauges that cost more than $1500 all by themselves. There's leather everywhere your fingers go, from the steering wheel to the custom door panels and even the lower dash was painted to match. That chrome shifter is linked to a World Class T5 5-speed manual gearbox and a powerful A/C system is part of the deal. Even the trunk is finished more like a Mercedes-Benz than a lowly Ford, with fitted carpets and custom side panels; heck, even the fuel filler neck is upholstered!

The fully dressed 289 cubic inch engine is date code correct. Fully rebuilt and dressed for show, the trick small block has a thoroughly modern look within that satin black engine bay. A Cobra dress-up kit lends a traditional hi-po look, and anything that was aluminum was given a satin treatment that looks great against the black paint. Polished accessories dress up the front of the engine and all the wiring was neatly hidden out of sight. The suspension is fortified with fat sway bars and rack-and-pinion steering up front and the 9-inch rear hangs on leaf springs with Shelby-style traction bars. 3.89 gears on a Track-Lok limited slip aren't a problem thanks to the 5-speed's towering overdrive and the dual exhaust system has a great sound that's even pleasant on the highway. 4-wheel disc brakes fix one of the Mustang's most notable deficiencies and gorgeous Torque Thrust style wheels wear staggered 215/45/17 front and 245/45/18 rear performance radials.

This is a seriously impressive car in every sense of the word. Fast, comfortable, and downright gorgeous to look at, it's the resto-mod Mustang that can do it all. Call now!
