Daytona Blue was an unusual color in 1964, and that's a surprise because it looks awesome. If you're going to ante up for Chevy's top-of-the-line personal luxury coupe with a performance streak, dark blue delivers a combination of presence and elegance that's tough to beat. And at a show where everyone else's Impala will be red or white, this one stands out. Fortunately, this one has clearly lived an easy life and has been freshened as needed over the years. It's been repainted at some point in the past and the paint is just fine for going to the local cruise night but maybe not for points competition. The sheetmetal is still straight and crisp, with good gaps and clear attention to detail, and still looks good.
