EXCELLENT RESTORATION, 350 V8, 4 SPEED, PWR BRAKES, STINGER HOOD, SLICK PAINT!!
There are few better ways to spend a Saturday night than slipping through the darkness in a black 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Of course, night is not the only time that this is appealing. If this were in your garage, it has all the right features to make you want to play hooky from work every morning you walk by it.
Black is beautiful, and so this coupe's original saddle tan paint was traded in for this more sinister shade worthy of this sportscar's attitude. The Stingray was one of the most influential designs of the decade, and even over fifty years later, it remains instantly recognizable and still resonates with enthusiasts. At any Corvette show, you can spot the guys who drive their cars pretty easily; they're the ones with the giant grins on their faces, and you could join them without worries in this one. The chrome is quite nice, the stainless has been polished up, and the fiberglass is in great shape. Plus, there are the Firestone redline tires on the reproduction knock-off wheels. It doesn't take a keen eye to notice the great-looking stinger hood with contrasting white trim. Although this is not a big block car, many corvette owners have upgraded to this style hood to get that same appearance without having to pay the hefty extra price...and we think it looks amazing.
Just like the exterior, the interior was reformatted for an aggressive touch. The color was changed from the original saddle tan to black. That means all the important things were refreshed, including the seat covers, door panels, carpets, and even the dash pad and center console. Beautiful gauges show crisp markings and tight spacing that looks very European. The slender wood-rimmed wheel is perfect for bare hands or aggressive driving gloves. The chrome shifter for the four-speed gearbox helps connect the driver with the car, and with the sleek monochromatic look, even the package area behind the seats is immaculately upholstered in correct bound carpets that fit right and look great.
You might want to put your sunglasses on before you pop the hood. The 350 cubic-inch V8 has plenty of added brightwork to make sure your engine bay creates envy at the car shows. But this motor also has substance beyond its great appearance. The code on this engine dates back to 1969, which means it still comes from the height Detroit's muscle car wars. It's mated to its correct four-speed manual that now has a Hurst shifter for better performance on the streets. It also doesn't hurt that this C2 Corvette has power steering and power brakes. But that's not the full story. Take some time to look at the pictures of the undercarriage. This Sting Ray is amazingly clean and about as pristine as it could get with nearly all new components. It's the kind of tidy that inspires pride.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the great looking Corvette you promised yourself, and you can do it without breaking the bank. C2's have been flying out of the showroom lately...Call now!!
