Is it difficult to appear tough, stylish, custom-built, quick, and vintage all in one pickup? The answer would usually be yes, but this 1987 Chevrolet Silverado does all that with ease!
The first part that strikes you about this full-size pickup is that bold front end. The factory never put this face on Silverados, but a few clever people in the custom car community realized that the rare face Chevy gave to the final years of the K5 Blazer would also fit on these trucks, for a very distinctive and cool look. The front is also set apart with a new performance hood. Beyond that is the black paint with a deep enough luster that you'll wonder how something so dark can also shine like a mirror. When this paint was applied, much of the body chrome was deleted. This not only helps highlight how straight the sheet metal is, but it also saves the brightwork attention for the bumpers, and the cool 22-inch BOSS wheels. The final touch is a nice lowered aggressive stance, and boy does it make it look great!

There's nothing better on a black exterior than a red interior. When you open the door, the contrast between the outside paint and the vinyl on the seats is like looking at a vampire after a fresh kill. That description might seem like an exaggeration, but it's necessary to try and describe the aggression this pickup radiates just by standing next to it. But beyond its mean looks, this truck was built to coddle. It comes loaded with power everything – power windows, power locks, power brakes, power steering, etc. The driver gets a GT steering wheel and a full gauge package that includes readouts for oil, water, and battery. For everyone there's a modern AM/FM/CD stereo that has controls for satellite radio, and provisions for you to plug in your own modern tunes. Best of all, this is an ice-cold air-conditioned vintage Silverado.
What makes the 1987 Chevy truck models so special is that it was the last year for the classic bodylines, but the first (and only) year this generation had a V8 with fuel injection. Aside from the chrome air cleaner and valve covers, the 305 cubic-inch unit is completely stock. There's plenty of performance upgrades that you can install to get even more out of this small-block, but why mess with perfection? Right now you don't have to worry about replacement parts or service in the future, especially since this combination is as reliable as an anvil. Plus, this truck has a bit of secret that only keen eyes will pick up on from the outside. It has functional dual gas tanks, which means you can fill up this pickup for the long haul. But beyond just a bladder-busting fuel range, this Silverado has a four-speed automatic transmission and cruise control for making the highway miles effortless. So that means you can be impressive at the local car shows or drive across country to astound total strangers.
This is the kind of truck that makes no compromises. It's a cool-looking vintage pickup on the outside, with every modern convenience you could want on the inside. Dressed up in classic slick black paint and great wheels...this truck wont last. Call now!!
