The 1979 Jeep CJ7 has been given all the right investment to deliver a strong-running 4x4. That means extra power from the V8, a desirable fiberglass body, and a sought after full-time four-wheel-drive system. It makes for a classic CJ that delivers style, freshness, and function.
Silver metallic is a great color for a classic Jeep. After all, these are meant to be outdoors, and the way it pops in sunshine means there was a solid investment in a professional application. And the body investment was not just in the paint. This has a fresher fiberglass tub, and we love these because it eliminates the worry of any corrosion on the main body. There's also a well-coordinated black that showcases the Jeep's ruggedness. You see it first on the front bumper that also has a two-inch receiver hitch. Along the side, there's tubular side step and fender flares that allow for those meaty tires. The rear has another strong black tubular bumper with a trailer hitch, as well as a swing-away mount with a full-size spare. And there's a coordinating black bikini top, too, for those times you want to keep the sunshine off your shoulders. Plus, the lifted suspension and bright 15-inch American Racing ... Description
Plus, the lifted suspension and bright 15-inch American Racing wheels add to the flair and the off-road prowess. There are even cool little details, like the skulls within the crystal clear headlights.
The thoughtfully presented package continues inside. This has the right off-road ready features, like a padded roll bar, rugged liner paint on the floor, and high-back bucket seats finished in durable vinyl. In-between them is a Tuffy locking center console that gives you cup holders, an armrest, and a handy place to put the AM/FM/CD stereo. You have the classic Jeep three-spoke steering wheel and correct gauges with a large speedo in the center. But that single B&M shifter on the floor should really signal this is something special.
Under the hood is AMC's big 360 cubic-inch V8. This is larger than anything that was offered from the factory, and so that would often be enough muscle for most people. But this one takes it further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, Davis United performance distributor, ribbed valve covers, and headers feeding the dual exhaust. It delivers the kind of torque that secures the CJ7's go-anywhere reputation. In fact, this one is always ready for adventure, because it features Jeeps "Quadratrac" full-time four-wheel drive. This one is also a solid driver in-town with features like a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front.
Complete with build receipts and the owner's manual, this is the classic CJ with slick looks and worthwhile upgrades. That makes for a great classic 4x4 for those who know how to enjoy these to the fullest. Call today!!!
