EXCELLENTLY MAINTAINED, ONLY 37K MILES, AUTO, LOADED, F45 SUSPENSION, COLLECTOR!

You can't help but stop and stare at and Corvette convertible that has been meticulously looked after for decades. 1996 was the last, and best model year for the C4 Corvette, and now you can pick up a drop top version for less than the price of a family sedan.

The C4 convertible was timeless from day one, thanks to its aggressive wedge styling that seemed to make this car look like it was in motion even at a standstill. This was highlighted even further in the last few years with the iconic “sawblade” alloy wheels (riding on new Kumho tires). Dark purple is one of those colors that absolutely signified the 1990s, but unlike some of the teals and pinks that were also popular, this one is still relevant today. It's especially true on this C4, which has led a pampered garage-kept life (we've got the stack of maintenance receipts to prove it). Traveling less than 2,000 miles per year probably means this one might have never seen inclement weather. The convertible top has no doubt been exercised far more often than the wipers.

The Corvette interior is still one of the best places to be when your hobby is driving. The tan leather buckets are in good condition, like your favorite leather ... Please ask for the full description.

This was highlighted even further in the last few years with the iconic "sawblade" alloy wheels (riding on new Kumho tires).

The tan leather buckets are in good condition, like your favorite leather jacket, showing just the slightest signs of use to make them comfortable. This 'Vette is also loaded with almost everything you could get in 1996, including air conditioning, power windows, six-way power seats, power locks, a tilt column, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, and a fairly comprehensive trip computer in the center stack. The Bose AM/FM/CD stereo sounds awesome, and the included cassette player can now be a plug-in for your iPod. The carpets, dashboard and essentially everything your eyes see or hands touch is in excellent shape. All the gauges are fully functional, and the combination of digital and analog instruments are not only cool, but surprisingly easy to read. All of this is fitted inside a cabin that wraps around you like a cockpit, and your hand rests comfortably on the automatic shifter.

Chevy's 350 cubic inch LT1 V8 really needs no introduction. This final iteration of the original small block produces 300 horsepower, and made the Corvette the car to beat in 1996. Mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission, power flows to the wheels seamlessly, and explosive acceleration is only a slight prod of your foot away, making this perhaps the ultimate point-and-shoot machine. Making this convertible even better is the optional F45 Selective Real Time Dampening suspension package. A forerunner to MagneRide in modern Corvettes, a computer uses current ride data to calculate the damping mode for optimum control. It can then individually adjust special shock absorbers every 10 to 15 milliseconds. This did not find many takers in 1996 because it was one of the most expensive options on the list...this one got it!

This Corvette convertible is an original example of an American icon, and it has been nicely maintained right down to the original owner's manual. It's a slick-looking performance convertible at an affordable price. Call now!!
