Wow!! A 1963 Chevrolet Impala SS convertible, in a great color combo, and original in all the right places. Plus, a few well-placed upgrades to make it even better. You wont find one nicer!
For starters, take a look at the body. You'll be searching a long time before you find an Impala ragtop with straighter lines than this one. Best of all, they are all the original panels. It's the same exact situation with the chrome. The grill, bumpers, and SS badging on the rear fender have all been taken care of so well that it is hard to believe they are original to this classic. We did mention upgrades, and that begins with the paint. The factory's flamboyant red has been traded in for a more modern shade of a cool blue – the depth and shimmer of which now rivals the chrome. The original wheels were replaced by a set of 15-inch Cragar SS units. You can call this a modern upgrade, but these have been cool for so long that this swap happened all the time when this classic was brand new...and it looks so right!
Impala convertibles are great because they beg to be taken out for cruising pleasure. Still, this isn't a selfish purchase because these full-size drop-tops have enough interior ... Please ask for the full description.

Impala convertibles are great because they beg to be taken out for cruising pleasure. Still, this isn't a selfish purchase because these full-size drop-tops have enough interior space to bring friends and family along for the ride. The black interior is such a favorite of the classic car community that it often helps the car retain value. Not only are all the important pieces such as the dash and door panels in exceptional condition, but the seats have been upgraded to a supple leather that has remained extremely clean. The front buckets are part of this car's original build, which is essential for the 1963 Impala SS package. Other major components to keep an eye out for on this SS are the center console with cool floor-mounted shifter, and machined brightwork on the lower part of the dash. Real Impala SS enthusiasts will also be glad to see the proper sport badge on this car's horn button. When it comes time to go for a long drive, this Impala has been upgraded to an AM/FM/Cassette stereo, with modern speakers, to make sure the tunes can be heard when the top is down. Plus, the heater/defrost will keep you comfortable even when the weather might be a little chilled. Also, a rare feature for a convertible, this one has air conditioning. If you do have to put the top up, it is as easy as a flip of a switch. Topping this Impala off, literally, is a new white power folding top, which means it's free from pinch marks and has exceptional rear vision.
Underneath the hood is a 350 cubic-inch small block V8 mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission. Those who are familiar with the many motors available in the 1963 SS package know that the 350 was not one of them, but this powerplant is an upgrade from original. After all, the 350 is one of the most versatile V8s ever offered from GM, and this one has the benefit of being more fresh than those Impalas that have had the same motor for 50+ years. In fact, one look at the exceptionally clean engine bay, and it obvious that this convertible has been cared for to achieve everyday reliability. All the essentials – belts, hoses, radiator, etc. – are all properly organized and in great condition. This drive-ability is further enhanced with power brakes, power steering, and 225/60R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires for good modern grip.
This is the Impala to have for those know that Saturday nights were meant for cruising, and the fun is always better with the more people that you can take on the journey. It's time to get your hands on something very original and very cool. After all, with as nice as this one is, it wont be in our showroom long...call today!!
