At first glance, this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS has enough black inside and out to be the dark horse in any pony car race, but look a little close and you'll find an even bigger secret.
This Camaro's performance chops are as clear as black and white. Its fresh coat of shiny black paint, blacked-out grille, and correct SS white triple stripe all are telltale signs that this was built for speed. The taller rear tire helps set up the stance for that classic muscle car ready-to-pounce appearance. Chrome elements such as the bumpers and mirrors, as well as the brightwork that surrounds the grille, windshield, side window, rear glass, and taillights all give this coupe a nice contrast to the glossy black lacquer. While the 15-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are an easy hint at the amount of work and thought that has gone into this coupe, there are many more signs of a large investment.
Inside is more evidence of the custom labor that has gone into this Camaro. Beyond the classic three-spoke tilt steering wheel sits a new set of gauges. This includes speedometer, tachometer, voltage, and other essential info about the car. They have a clear modern glow, including the digital ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
They have a clear modern glow, including the digital odometer. An additional upgrade that everyone likes to know is available is cold-blowing air conditioning. The A/C is combined with the heater/defrost unit, and the modern controls have been integrated into the original system's placement on the dash. There's even an AM/FM/cassette stereo that can be adapted for more modern music players. A lot of comfort options have gone into this sportscar, including one not too often seen. The black vinyl upholstery was installed as part of the restoration, and it is in great condition. The front seats look like buckets, but lift the center armrest, and it is actually a bench setup! Combine this with a rare column shift, and there is actually seating for six in this Camaro.
Don't think we forgot about the 396 badges on the side. Look under the hood and there's the real surprise! This Camaro SS has big block power, but it's larger than anything Chevy dared put in from the factory. This is a built 454 cubic-inch V8. You can imagine the intimidating rumble from the dual exhaust, but the upgrade doesn't stop there. This street-eating motor has even more power thanks to an Edelbrock manifold, Holley carburetor, performance headers, Electric fuel pump, and MSD electronic ignition. All of this grunt hits the streets via a new set of modern BF Goodrich T/A rubber. Just like the rest of the car, as mean as these upgrades look, there is also a lot of features to increase drivability. This includes the four-speed automatic transmission for better versatility on the highway, and power four wheel disc brakes, which are appreciated at every stop.
This is a black on black hardtop built to look, sound, and be mean. We promise not to tell anyone that you bought it for all the practical upgrades. Black big blocks never last in our showroom, call today!!
