Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Restomod is a well-done and fully upgraded total package. That means upgraded super-sleek style on the outside, an upgraded interior built for driving, an upgraded suspension including four-wheel disc brakes, and an upgraded big-block V8 that gives this first-gen Camaro an awesome heart.
The Camaro is an icon, and so this full custom restomod keeps that classic silhouette we all love. But no one will ever mistake it for anything stock. There was a big investment in sleekness, and it starts with the paint. It is a terrific modern silver with a metallic element that loves to radiate with quality. When you have this kind of smoothness and quality body panels, you also make sure the car is upgraded to maximize this sleekness. That's why you have color-matched bumpers, deleted trim, shaved door handles, and a smooth billet grille. There are even more modern upgrades to this restomod, like the headlights and Boze ZE-series 18-inch wheels. There's also a dark side to this build, and it's done in a terrific way. You have the classic racing stripes on the rear, and up front, the black is used to highlight the cowl hood. There are also cool black details, like the front spoiler, grille surround, and racing rear gas cap. And when there snug-fitting black roof is in place, it gives this one an almost two-tone sense of style.
As much as we like the look with the top up, a comprehensive build like this also makes sure this is stunning with the roof down, too. That's why the full gray and black package inside goes so well with the exterior style. This one was built with added comfort in mind. So there's a long list of great features, including an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo cup holder center console, power convertible top, and door poppers on a remote key fob. But you really know the heart of this restomod is all about performance. That's why you have high-back front bucket seats specially built with RJS racing harnesses and a contoured roll/brace bars. There's also a sports steering wheel on a tilt column, a B&M shifter, and AutoMeter gauges installed in the center of the dash, including a large tach.
The engine bay has ultra-smooth inner walls to really funnel your attention to well-built big block in the middle. This 454 cubic-inch V8 has a Demon four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and Hooker super competition headers feeding sweet-sounding dual exhaust. This also has the right supporting pieces, like a serpentine belt system, Milodon oil pan, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fans. It's a strong runner, and it's especially nice to take out on the road with all the added investments in the suspension. You have Global West tubular control arms up front, a Hotchkis sway bar, and subframe connectors. There's also a stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, grippy ZR-rated tires, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes.
An awesome style and awesome power make for a terrific restomod Camaro. So if you find a big block drop-top as irresistible as we do, you need to get your hands on this right now. Call today!!!
