CLASSIC ORIGINAL, 327 V8, POWERGLIDE, NICE PAINT, INTERIOR, ETC...SOLID!!
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air captures everything that's great about the classic hobby car. These cars are stunning, practical, and they have endless possibilities that can be done to make them one of a kind. This particular Bel Air has been well taken care of and is more pure than you usually find. Cars like this haven't lasted long in our inventory lately. This car is one you enjoy for what it is, a beautiful, desirable tri-five!
When this '55 hits the road it stands out thanks to a nice glossy finish of bright Gypsy Red paint. In person, it simply glows and combined with the Shoreline Beige roof and tail section, it has a very period look about it without blending in with the crowd. That vivid paint looks excellent and covers extremely smooth fenders. The bright work is in excellent shape and accents the two tone paint very nicely. The chrome appears to be original including the bumper guards and they absolutely sparkle in the sunlight, giving this car just the right amount of jewelry. The body is straight and solid and this Bel Air makes the perfect candidate for your next weekend cruiser. This is one Bel Air that truly shows exactly what the designers were after when they designed these cars. It's beautiful, eye catching, and no doubt will be a conversation starter.
Inside you won't find the often duplicated classic red and white interior. Instead, this car features the red vinyl with sand colored cloth interior that matches the exterior. The bench seats and door panels have been restored to original condition and this Bel Air captures the crisp and clean timeless look. The red dash with metallic details provides a nice contrast inside and houses an AM radio as well as switches for heat and defrost. The carpets appear new and match the original interior and the original headliner completes the look. The trunk has been lined with the rubber floor mat and has a spare ready to go just in case. Overall, it's easy to see that this cabin is beautiful and ready for a weekend trip.
Under the glossy hood, is a tried and true 327 small block that rests in a highly detailed engine bay. The small block is mated to a two speed Powerglide automatic transmission that operates through an original column shifter. While we know the engine is not original, you would never know it looking under the hood as it is painted in the correct Chevy Orange and looks right at home in the engine bay. The power plant exhales all the spent gases through a true dual exhaust system. Stopping power is supplied by drum brakes in the front and the rear. And in front of those brakes the white wall 6.50-16 Firestone tires ground the car with correct hub caps.
This 1955 Bel Air was actually a museum piece for 12 years and it shows as the exterior, interior, and the engine bay are in beautiful condition. If you are a tri-five enthusiast you will instantly see how its simple beauty shines through this timeless classic. It won't last long. Call today!
