164 FLAT 6 MOTOR, POWERGLIDE TRANS, GREAT FAMILY FOUR DOOR CRUISER, NICE PAINT

Here's one for the lovers of true vintage motoring. This 1960 Chevrolet Corvair 700 sedan has been given quality investments to keep this feeling like a true 1960s classic. So if you love vintage details, this really delivers it all, and for quite an affordable price.

This is the first year for the Corvair, and it debuted something unique. It stands out with a nearly vent-less front end. And while this was an economy car, it couldn't resist some sporty style with the roof's spoiler-like overhang and wraparound rear glass. Plus, there's just the right amount of brightwork with the chrome bumpers, factory wheel covers, distinct headlight bezels, and trim highlighting distinctly crisp body crease that encircles the whole car. And because this one wants to really drive home the vintage feeling, it's finished in its factory-correct Horizon Blue. It has nice coverage, and the added white on the roof gives this added distinction.

We have restoration photos from 2005 that detail a solid investment in the interior. It starts with the seats that have a stylish and smooth blue with the bright white textured insert. So it follows a similar color theme to the exterior. There are thoughtful details, like the smooth dash pad, taut headliner, and dark blue carpeting that fits with the color theme while hiding the dirt. And the door panels do a terrific job of uniting the full color package. This has the great vintage feeling, right down to details like the working AM radio, thin dual-spoke steering wheel, and fold-down rear seat. Plus, there's something extra cool about the unique selector fingertip selector for the automatic transmission. Even the trunk up front has the look of quality with smooth inner fenders, clean components, a proper mat, and a wrapped full-size spare.

On a car this correct so far, it's nice to see a well-preserved engine bay. The correct 140 cubic-inch flat-six has the sharp presentation of a nice investment later in life to ensure a highly correct and tidy setup. So it's classily detailed with everything from the dual carbs to the generator. With no need for a long driveshaft and maximizing the weight over the rear wheels, Corvairs have a true traction advantage. So maximized for utility and only weighing less than 2,500 pounds makes this Corvair plenty zippy.

The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and restoration photos. This is a great classic presentation offered for an obtainable price. So if you're looking for an affordable time machine, don't let this coupe slip away. Call today!!!
