350 V8, AUTO, T-TOPS, L-48, A/C, LOADED, CLEAN AND FUN!!
Late C3 Corvettes are ripe for the picking. They're still reasonable to purchase, reasonable to maintain, instantly recognizable, a blast to drive, and have a ton of attitude. This 1979 Chevrolet Corvette brings that attitude in a bright white package with T-top fun.
You can't say that the C3 Corvettes aren't iconic, and deep down in their hearts, EVERYONE loves how they look. White has always been one of the colors that not only adds a sense of class to a vehicle, but it also stands out in a subtle way. This car wears the white shade well with nice, even gaps and straight bumpers. It left the factory with smoked glass T-tops that look very clean and devoid of any concerning scratches. The bubbled rear window really added a racy look to the body, as does the rear duck tail spoiler. The rake is just about perfect, lending a ready-to-rumble vibe. Lights and lenses are clear, as is the glass. Proud Corvette cross flag emblems are in their places front and rear with red 'Corvette' script adorning both headlight covers.
The seats, door panels, carpets, dash, center console, seat belts, and even the steering column and steering wheel are bright red...but it works great with the white exterior. Looking around, this is a VERY clean cabin with leather buckets that have been worn perfectly. These later cars have a lot more in the way of newer options, too. Power windows, tilt/telescoping steering, a rear defroster, power locks, air conditioning, cruise control, and more. There's a decent amount of storage in the back under that glass window, so you can definitely take this coupe for a great weekend getaway.
Under the hood you'll find a 350 cubic inch V8. Air and fuel come from an aluminum intake manifold and a Holley carburetor, and it's dressed up a bit with finned valve covers and a chrome air cleaner lid. An automatic transmission handles the small block's power, while it exhales through a dual exhaust system, making this '79 Vette a blast to drive! 255/60/15 Goodyear Eagle GTIIs puts all the hardware to the road with power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes keeping the handling under control.
This is the kind of car that is meant to be out and enjoyed. There's no reason to lock this one up in a garage and trailer it to the next show, It been sorted and ready to drive. With a handsome color combination, great styling, and an increased demand for C3's, this Vette may not last long. Call today!
