This 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible looks like a cool vintage machine on the outside. And the leather interior just looks tastefully upgraded with well/integrated additions, like A/C. But when you look under the hood, this one can no longer contain its restomod secret. After all, you may have classic Ford steel on the outside, but this one has a fuel-injected Corvette heart!
The full restoration happened about seven years and under 9k miles ago. And while that makes this a young restomod, the full presentation today shows you a top-quality that even some brand new builds are trying to achieve. For example, the black paint has a smooth and deep look like a grand piano. The panels align nicely, and so pieces like the full-length trim appear almost uninterrupted. It impresses so much with its classic style that this Ford has a true incognito attitude. You have to be looking a bit harder to realize just how upgraded this one is. For example, most people will just admire the two-piece wheel trim and whitewalls. So they may not recognize just how meaty the rear tires really are. And the rear chrome bumper does a good job of hiding the polished dual exhaust tips. So the first impression ... Please ask for the full description.

So the first impression for many is just a cool cruising classic...until it passes them like they are standing still.
The black convertible top has the look of a cool cabriolet, but a car like this gets even better with the roof down. The full red interior matches the exterior wheel color for a cool and coordinated style. Plus, the restoration upgraded the upholstery to fresh and supple leather. The two-piece windshield, classic dash, and dual-spoke steering wheel are all part of the vintage appearance. But it's also not hard to start recognizing the upgrades. This is a comfortable cruiser with plush carpeting, an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input, cup holders, and cold-blowing air conditioning. And it's a better driver with a tilt steering column, crisp Omega Kustoms Instruments gauges, and a column-mounted tach.
There are a ton of terrific upgrades to this coupe, but your favorite one is likely under the hood. The 5.7-liter LT1 fuel-injected motor is basically the result of a half-century of V8 progress, but it has been so expertly integrated under the hood it looks like it belonged here since day one. It even has all the right supporting components, including an MSD ignition, electric fan, and upgraded polished pulleys. Plus, the transmission was upgraded to a four-speed unit that's an ideal pairing to this motor to deliver both confident downshifts for performance as well as smooth overdrive cruising. Don't forget to check out the undercarriage photos. The chassis is painted red to fit with the car's color theme, and it also highlights the stronger construction. You can also see upgrades like the Mustang II-style independent front end. Add in power steering, power brakes, and front discs, and you have an easy and powerful drop-top.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, service manuals, restoration photos, and a car cover. It's a unique and cool build that can comfortably take you everywhere in style. Call today!!!
