Everything's in order in the trunk area in back, with gray carpeting lining its walls and floor. Airbags on both the driver and passenger sides are a welcome safety feature.

Pontiac saw to it that their top of the line Trans Am had the performance capability to deliver on the unspoken promise offered by its looks. A 5.7 liter V8, paired with a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, sits underneath the sloping hood to provide all the acceleration you'd expect from a car like this.
