It means this one is one of those special classics that knows how to turn heads and can comfortably do it near or far.
In 1940, Ford created one of the most stunning pickup designs for the ages. This one celebrates that style by utilizing the full custom build to highlight all the best features on this icon. It starts up front where the bumper has been removed so you can get the full view of that awesome pointed frontend that was shared with the classic car line. This 1940 Ford Pickup Restomod is the awesome kind of build that impresses others with its well-done mix of classic and custom. But that's just for those who are snapping their necks to get a better look as this drives by. The owner/driver gets the true full appeal, because it also has upgraded V8 power, an upgraded suspension, overdrive transmission, and a comfy A/C interior.
The burgundy has the kind of metallic element that loves to show off the classic cab style with plenty of flair. The black in this two-tone is just as important. It emphasizes the round fenders up front, where it really draws attention to the teardrop headlights. This one loves to expertly mix the vintage and modern elements everywhere into one cohesive package. You see it in places like how the aged lumber in the truck bed has a purposeful look against the updated smooth metal slats. And those polished Ridler wheels tuck into the design like they belonged there from day one. Plus, you know there's a ton of respect you get when you tell people this custom creation was done with an all steel body.
There's more of the well-done black style inside. The interior keeps classic Ford elements, like the dual-spoke steering wheel, two-piece windshield, and the contour of the dash. Even the bucket seats have a vintage style (of course, it's an upgrade considering you could never get anything this comfortable in 1940.) And the well-fitting door panels and full headliner are other nods to an upgrade in comfort without losing its vintage sensibilities. They also made sure this was a comfortable place to spend some time with additions like an AM/FM/cassette stereo and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. This was also built to be a driver with a tilt steering column and a full set of AutoMeter gauges - including a large speedo and tach.
While Ford's flathead V8 is a great motor, you really want small block power in an upgraded machine like this. And it has a tidy look with added polish, finned valve covers, and a matching air topper. And this 350 cubic-inch V8 earns its racing flags with upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and shorty headers that feed the glasspack style dual exhaust. There are even good supporting components, like upgraded pulleys and an electric fan. While this one was built for added power, it was also built for added comfort, too. The Heidts Mustang II-style front end gives you a better and sharper ride. Plus, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission has highway-ready overdrive. There's also power steering, power brakes, front discs, and wide modern tires.
This is a full build made for those who like to show off their classic ride. So don't let this iconic and upgraded Ford pickup slip away. Call today!!!
