A classic panel delivery is usually a really cool surf wagon today. But when you can get one in a 1958 Chevrolet - one of the most sought-after designs - with V8 power, a cool custom paint theme, and a custom/comfy A/C interior, well then, you know you've found everyone's favorite attention-grabbing cruiser.
This has the look of a Sedan Delivery, but we're told the original VIN has it as a Yeomen Delray. Not only is it a single-year name for this single-year body style, but you have some serious rarity on your side. Chevrolet basically made one Yeomen for every thirty sedans that came off the line. And nearly 65 years later, this example is even more individualized. It has been given a cool hot rod kind of treatment with matte black paint on the bottom and glossy burgundy on the top half. It's a cruiser-ready finish that looks smooth while still being easy to enjoy. You can see the thoughtfulness in the details, like the brightness of the chrome and trim. And there's a terrific orange and blue pinstripe separating the two-tone that also unleashes a custom design on the hood and tailgate. It's a very unique machine and to do it with something so rare makes it truly memorable.

The custom style continues inside where the focus is now on comfort. The upgraded front bucket seats have a cool style with gray upholstery with red inserts and stitching. This is a pattern repeated on the door panels, center console, and more for a uniform style. You'll adjust the power driver's seat to your ideal position, slip behind the banjo-style sports steering wheel, grab the Lokar shifter, and gaze at the crisp Stewart Warner readouts. There are the right comfort upgrades like cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, cup holders, and a touchscreen AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth and navigation. It makes for the kind of car that plenty of people will want to go for a ride, and so that's why you still have the spacious back seat. The custom side panels have the Delray name embossed in them, and they even integrated JBL subwoofers into the cargo area. So you just know this has the right equipment and style to let you have some serious tailgating fun.
Under the hood is a cool-looking small block that includes etched valve covers and a Cadillac-style air grabber with custom pinstriping to match the exterior. This 350 cubic-inch V8 inhales deeply with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and authority as Sanderson shorty headers feed the dual exhaust and Magnaflow mufflers. You'll also spot some good supporting pieces, like an aluminum radiator, electric fans, and a newer A/C compressor. And it's an all-around nice cruiser with a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a nice set of polished 17-inch alloys with modern sport tires.
This is a rare Chevy made to be a unique custom cruiser. So if you love a truly distinct classic that you'll love driving everywhere, call today!
