2 OWER W/ ONLY 16K ORIGINAL MILES, 8.0L V10, 6-SPEED, SLICK COLOR COMBO, CLEAN!!

This 1996 Dodge Viper GTS is a special car. It was the debut of the GTS coupe - the one that really set the Viper on its legendary run. And this 450-horsepower V10 supercar has the kind of impressively low mileage that lets you know it's an ultra-sleek true collectible.

This was the debut year for the updated second-generation Viper, and it was the introduction of the GTS coupe. It's a landmark moment for American exotics because it delivered a more aerodynamic Viper that made it speedier. Dodge even specially crafted the roof so your helmet would fit better. That's why these first-gen coupes seem to attract a few more collectors. It was chosen to be the Indy 500 pace car that year. It was in this special livery, and in fact, the color is so ingrained in the introduction of the coupe that it's called Viper GTS Blue. And while the racing stripes make this one look competition-ready, the condition looks like it may have never hit a track day. This coupe has averaged less than 650 miles annually over its lifetime so far, and so it has been treated like a true collectible for over a quarter-century. The sleekness of the factory paint, the crispness of the body panels, and the shine ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

The sleekness of the factory paint, the crispness of the body panels, and the shine of the polished 18-inch factory alloys are the kind of caliber that can turn your garage into a showroom.

The interior is also what makes the GTS so special because it's a better-rounded exotic sports car. The original was all about big power - and so is this one - but it has just the right amount of comfort without losing that raw sports car feel. So you get great features like power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for factory air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) There are even nice safety features like dual front airbags. And while the supple leather upholstery looks and feels immaculate, the full feeling isn't really a coddler. The extra bolstering of the sport seats, bold white-faced gauges, auxiliary readouts dominating the top of the dash, and confident mechanical action of the stick shift are a reminder that this is for real drivers.

Vipers have one of the boldest engine bays around with the red finish for the special 8.0-liter fuel-injected V10. It was Mopar's way of acknowledging that they knew you'd be showing off the monster motor everywhere you parked. And on a car with such low mileage, that impressive presentation remains exactly how they intended. It truly roars to life with the kind of rumble that lets people know you have 450 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque. You get complete control of this via six-speed manual transmission, power steering, and a race-inspired fully independent suspension. Plus, four-wheel disc brakes and grippy Michelin Pilot Sport tires are exactly what you want for stopping power.

This is the awesome Viper ready for a true collector. Of course, we also know you're going to be driving this first-ever GTS because it is too much fun to resist. Call today!!!
