A 1965 Mercury Monterey convertible in its factory-correct colors and the big 390 V8 under the hood is a beautiful thing. You'll even discover some very nice upgrades when you dig into all the details. And when a turn-key cruiser is so value-priced, it means someone is about to get an exceptional deal.
These Mercury cars were big and blocky like their Lincoln siblings, so it's great to see all that sharply creased sheet metal looking good. And they have plenty of style with everything from the sporty front fender trim to the rear bumper that's so large it makes up half of the back end. One of the reasons we get excited about a classic Mercury is because we know they were produced in far fewer numbers than more mass-market cars like Fords. That especially holds true for convertibles. There were less than 4,800 Monterey drop-tops made in 1965, and over 55 years later, you can just imagine how few are left. You may decide you want to update the paint or add a personal touch, but you can already understand that you'll be searching for a while before finding another car like this. So it has the clean and complete look you want today, and it leaves room in your budget to really make it ... Please ask for the full description.

So it has the clean and complete look you want today, and it leaves room in your budget to really make it your own whenever you decide.
The white convertible top has a clean look that makes for a great combo against the red paint. And if you like the way this looks, then you'll love powering it down to reveal the white interior. When you slip into the driver's seat, you get that great feeling of upscale classic style with the thin dual-spoke factory steering wheel that gives you a clear view of the bright gauge panel. This one stays faithful to its vintage style, right down to the working courtesy lights and the AM radio that's there for display. But there have also been investments in the right pieces. The seats have been redone so that the bright white feels good and gets plenty of attention. And this convertible even has provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.)
Under the hood is the large and powerful 390 cubic-inch V8 motor. This is believed to be the original powerhouse, and the engine bay looks amazingly authentic with the big blue block air grabber and Mercury valve covers. The big V8 is strong, smooth, and knows how to move this big drop-top around with authority. There's even a newer dual exhaust to give it a good tune. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission all keep this an easy cruiser. And since they invested in newer front suspension components, this one has a smooth but confident feel going down the road.
This Mercury Monterey is one of those cars you might not have thought about before, but now that you see it, you'll never forget it. So hurry up, because at this value price, it's going to its new home soon. Call today!!!
