STROKED 496 V8 PUSHING 500HP, 4-SPEED, PWR BRKES/STEER, FRONT DISCS, CLEAN MOPAR

Mopar people know the significance of the 1974 Dodge Challenger. It was the final year for these first-generation muscle cars. Its model year was even cut short, making it the rarest of these E-bodies. But just in case you weren't already tempted by rarity, you'll be drawn in by a comprehensive restoration, pistol-grip four-speed, and an awesomely built 496ci V8 that makes 500 horsepower.

The Challenger's shape is one of the most popular muscle car profiles in history, but there's something more on this one that makes it look exceptionally nice. The upgrade to Go Mango Orange paint instantly makes this Mopar look bold and speedy. And because this is a more modern application, the gloss loves to showcase how straight the well-defined creases are in the body panels. Against this bright and bold paint is a well-coordinated dark side with the black Rallye stripe package, dark grille, black hood scoops, blacked-out rear panel, and the matte black spoiler. There's even a premium taut-fitting black vinyl roof. You'll also love the brightwork on this one, because the chrome bumpers love to hug the body's form, and the upgraded Centerline wheels are wider in the rear to emphasize where the ...

You'll also love the brightwork on this one, because the chrome bumpers love to hug the body's form, and the upgraded Centerline wheels are wider in the rear to emphasize where the rubber meets the road. It's a total package that showcases a thoughtful level of investment to make sure you know this is powerful and premium.

All the black on the outside also gets you ready for the full black interior. High back bucket seats, newer carpeting, nice door panels, a smooth dash, and an excellent headliner are all part of a very inviting package. You'll even appreciate the little details like the working clock, smooth wood-like trim, and the dome light that greets you when the door opens. And have you seen how clear the full gauge package is? It really shows off the level of thoughtfulness inside. Plus, there's an upgrade to a premium McIntosh AM/FM/CD stereo with JL audio speakers to make sure you have the best driving music. You'll slip behind the dual-spoke sports steering wheel, and this one really feels like a driver's machine. That's why the center console forms around you and includes the iconic pistol-grip shifter.

Under the hood is a mighty Mopar powerhouse. The clean orange block, black finned valve covers, matching air grabber, and tidy black components all have a very stylish look. This one already looks powerful, but it's actually even more monstrous than even the first impression suggests. This is a 440 cubic-inch V8 stroked to 496ci total. It's further enhanced with 440 Source Stealth aluminum heads, a Comp Cams camshaft, an Edelbrock Air Gap intake, and topped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. It's also supported by the right pieces like an aluminum radiator, HEI distributor, and MSD ignition with rev limiter. Hooker long tube headers add power and rumble as the big V8 exhales into an X-pipe dual exhaust and Dynomax mufflers. The full power package peaks just above 500 horsepower, and we have the dyno sheet to prove it! Making sure you can harness this power properly is the control of a four-speed manual transmission, the strength of subframe connectors, and the grip of Mickey Thompson tires. Plus, power steering, power brakes, and front discs are good for all-around driving.

The sale comes complete with build receipts and the dyno sheet, but all you really have to do is look at the ultra-clean undercarriage to understand how comprehensive this build is. So if you want a rare Mopar that's awesome over every inch, call today!
