When Chevy set out to build a special Camaro for its 30th birthday, they looked back to some of the great cars of the past. Few were as vivid as memorable as the 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Cars, which wore the same Dover White with Hugger Orange stripes combination. And it looks just as good here as it did 45 years ago, making this the perfect complement for your Camaro collection. With so few miles, it remains in almost new condition, with only a few minor signs of age such as some cracks on the chin spoiler, which are probably inevitable given the materials used. However, the rest of the car remains as new, with great paint, excellent body gaps, and exactly zero damage or other issues. The stripes look especially good wrapped around the bolt hood scoop, which is fully functional, and for a high-profile Camaro, this one uses a surprisingly low-key rear spoiler that's neatly integrated into the design. All the black plastic parts are still dark, not baked by the sun, and it's unlikely that this car has ever seen anything like bad weather. It's incredibly clean!

The white leather interior is brilliant and probably a little easier to live with than the orange houndstooth in the 1969 Pace Cars. Custom embroidery on the seats reminds the owners that this is no ordinary Camaro and the rest of the interior is done in black and charcoal gray, so it doesn't get overwhelming. The leather seating surfaces are in excellent condition, virtually untouched by age, and the other soft parts look new. These cars only came one way: loaded, and as a result it's got all the toys, from A/C to power windows, locks, mirrors, and seat, to a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system that still sounds great today. This one is also rather rare in that it has a 6-speed manual transmission and special floor mats were part of the SS package. Everything works, as you'd expect, and thanks to expert care, even the trunk still looks like new.

The LT1-based 350 cubic inch V8 was treated to a big air cleaner up top, which takes its air directly from the hood scoop. The horsepower gains are debatable, but you can't argue with the butch look. And while these cars are insanely easy to modify, this one remains 100% stock and the list of replacement components can be counted on one hand. The engine bay is highly authentic, with only a newer Optima battery affecting its showroom new status. It's a tight fit in the engine bay, but you can still see all the factory decals, markings, and other special parts of the manufacturing process, details that are part of why cars like this are so valuable. The 6-speed shifts beautifully, the clutch is smooth, and it rides and handles like a brand new cars. And while Camaros were notorious for squeaks and rattles, this one, of course, remains tight and buttoned-down. Even the undercarriage is pretty much as-new, with original exhaust and factory components throughout. White wheels are based on the ZR-1 "A-mold" 17-inchers, which are wrapped in 275/40/17 BFG rubber.
