This 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger Lariat 4x4 is one seriously cool truck. It has a classic two-tone look, ultra-desirable Super Cab body, a vintage-style A/C interior. But while there's a lot of classic pickup to love, the stance also tells you there's something more here. There's an enhanced big V8 under the hood to make sure this extra-duty pickup really knows how to still have 4x4 fun.
The Copper Brown Metallic and Wimbledon White make for a terrific 1970s style two-tone. It also helps that this is a premium Ranger Lariat. So you get the full-length side trim that gives a crisp dividing line for the two colors, and at the same time, it helps show off the strangest of this truck's long body. The clean grille and bright chrome bumpers also add to this vintage premium feeling. There's even a dealer tag on the rear that corresponds with this truck's DSO. And while you'll love the vintage presentation, we also know this one is attractive for its ability. The F-250 came standard with the longer wheelbase and larger bed, so when it's time to get to work, this truck is up for doing more. That's why there's liner paint protecting this big bed.
Plus, wide tow mirrors, upgraded 8-lug wheels, side steps, and the raised stance give this one an undeniable workman appeal.
The interior continues this truck's premium and classic feeling. The brown and beige seating has terrific details like the insignia trim on the seatbacks and comfy cloth inserts with a button-top presentation. And the classic door panels match this two-tone look, too. Plus, we know you love seeing a Super Cab. Rarely do you get to find a vintage truck that has the practicality of carrying extra people and/or securing extra gear. The wood-like trim on the dash, factory gauges, and dual-spoke steering wheel are all part of this vintage feeling. But when you really want to get the chills, there's air conditioning blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant.
Under the hood is serious big block power. This is Ford's massive 460 cubic-inch V8, and it has even been bored .40 over. It also has upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Holley Sniper fabricated valve covers, and headers that add power as well as contribute to the wicked growl of the dual exhaust. There are also the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition and aluminum radiator w/electric fans. The three-speed automatic transmission has a stall converter for when you want to utilize the big power to the fullest. And speaking of using this truck's muscle, the lifted suspension, deep treat Toyo Open Country tires, and full 4x4 drivetrain gives you the power and ability to keep moving long after the pavement ends. Plus, the dual fuel tanks will get you deeper into nature. And features like power steering and power brakes with front discs are great to have at any time.
This is the outstanding vintage 4x4 that has more ability than even some brand new pickups. So if you love a terrific classic truck, you know you don't want to let this one slip away. Call today!!!
