This 1954 Chevrolet 3100 is one of the coolest ways to represent the final version of the legendary Advanced Design pickups. It mixes classic style with the right modern touches - including a powerful small block V8, overdrive transmission, and driver-ready upgrades to make it a great anytime vintage pickup.
This is one of the most iconic shapes in pickups. Chevy's Advanced Design would be retired in 1955, and so the company was giving it a proper sendoff. The '54 trucks already come with desirable upgrades like the one-piece windshield and a distinct front end done in chrome. That's why the '54 is one of the best pickups to customize. Finished in a nice two-tone green and black, this has a great period-correct hue, but there is the unmistakable shine of a more modern respray. And speaking of modern shine, the large 16-inch torque thrust-style wheels add boldness to the profile. But while this is uprated, the alligator hood, side-mounted spare tire carrier, and real wood in the truck bed are all about how this one has one of the most recognizable vintage styles around.

Finished in a nice two-tone green and black, this has a great period-correct hue, but there is the unmistakable shine of a more modern respray. But while this is uprated, the alligator hood, side-mounted spare tire carrier, and real wood in the truck bed are all about how this one has one of the most recognizable vintage styles around.
Inside is a nice blend of vintage and new worlds. The exterior green returns on the metal pieces, and that's combined with tasteful black inserts to give you the same two-tone as the exterior. Newer items like the carpeting and upholstery for the bench seat make it very inviting. You'll slip behind the grippy Grant GT steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. Beyond that is a full set of Dolphin gauges with vintage-style marking to fit in with dash's classic art deco style.
Lift the hood to see a healthy upgrade in power. This vintage 3100 is now running a 350 cubic-inch small block. This V8 is a later center-bolt head model, and you can even see the desirable serpentine belt setup and an A/C compressor (it will need the rest of the equipment if you want an A/C system.) The motor has been enhanced with a Holley Street Warrior four-barrel carburetor, a dual-plane aluminum intake, and dual exhaust. And there's much more to this Chevy than just power. As you look at the undercarriage, you'll immediately spot the upgraded independent front suspension. Plus, there's a four-speed automatic transmission upgrade that gives you highway-friendly overdrive. Add in the power steering, power brakes, and front discs, and you have a solid cruising package.
This is a strong-runner built to be a good driver. And since it's centered around a distinct Advanced Design truck you know the full package is irresistible. Call today!!!
