This 1948 Ford Cabover is a full custom creation that has a unique presentation, leather-lined A/C interior, and big block V8 power. And more than just look like a classic highway big rig, it really is a true long-haul driver right down to the sleeper cab and overdrive transmission.
People are going to marvel at an F-6 COE (Cab Over Engine). After all, in 1948, this was the kind of industrial machine that got us moving again after WWII. And now this rare surviving example is getting the respect it deserves by being the largest toy in the toy box. While the cab is a terrific classic, the full build is very custom. It's built on a motorhome chassis for modern strength. It allows for custom pieces to be installed with ease, like the attached sleeper cab with built-in cargo doors. The custom truck bed is a nice touch with step sides, big rounded fenders, and a large lockable cargo box. The full setup looks like one cohesive design thanks to a well-done color package. The metallic blue wraps around the cab and sleeper with a bright red pinstripe dividing line, and the lower white section unites both of those with the bed. There are substantial details everywhere, including the large ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
There are substantial details everywhere, including the large side mirrors and big rig wheels with duallys in the rear. And of course, we all know your attention immediately went to those dual exhaust stacks. They can even be configured to be flame throwers!
The interior keeps a hint of vintage style, but the full setup is clearly more about modern comfort. For example, the dash has the classic rounded look, but now it's wrapped to be soft to the touch. It also houses upgrades like an AM/FM/cassette stereo and controls for cold-blowing air conditioning. There's also power windows, tinted glass, a tilt steering column, and a crisp and complete set of Faria gauges. The seats are modern buckets that are long-haul comfortable. They're done in supple leather, and the custom door panels are finished to match. And the sleeper in back makes the cab both spacious and useful.
Underneath the sleeper is also access to the engine bay. You've got a 454 cubic-inch big block with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor on top. That's a great combo for both power and torque in a big rig like this (and far more than the original F-6 ever had!) It was built for a true long-haul setup. That's why you have a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive (both the engine and transmission were added only about 30k miles ago.) The front end is reserved for a large aluminum radiator and electric fans to properly help make sure this custom runs cool. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and the RV-style comfortable ride are all part of a thoughtful package that make this cool custom truly useful.
The sale comes complete with restoration photos, build receipts, service manuals, and a magazine feature spread on this cool COE. So if you're looking to eat away miles and turn a ton of heads, you know you can't miss this Ford. Call today!!!
