Roll into the next cruise night with this 1968 Chevrolet C10 pickup, and they might just hand you the big trophy before you even shut the engine off. Beautifully built, this stylish pickup has all the right ingredients for a serious street machine, and it doesn't matter if you prefer driving or showing, it does it all equally well.
Few trucks are as good-looking as Chevy's C10 models from the mid-60s to the mid-70s. This one, with its lowered stance and pretty two-tone paint delivers a period-perfect look with a predatory crouch and a ton of eyeball appeal. A lot of prep work went into this truck before the paint went on, with great gaps and smooth surfaces that show undistorted reflections-a hallmark of quality workmanship. The bed was given a makeover as well, including spray-in bedliner material that was neatly masked to protect the important parts without making it look like a black mess in there. Chrome bumpers add a lot of class, and the painted grille up front gives it a unique look that works well with the overall theme.

The interior got a major makeover during the restoration, most notably using color-matched vinyl and black cloth to cover the factory bench seat. A fancy high-performance steering wheel would look out of place in a lesser truck, but this one pulls it off without a care, particularly when placed atop a late-model tilt steering column. The original instrument panel still carries its factory gauges, but there's a trio of Auto Meter gauges underneath. Stock-looking door panels with a subtle Chevy bowtie emblem embossed in them add to the custom look and with carpets underfoot, heat and nose are well-controlled. Entertainment is via an AM/FM/cassette stereo in the original location and ice cold A/C has been installed with some very subtle vents. Nice!
In the horsepower department, this C10 is rocking a 350 cubic inch Chevy crate motor. An Edelbrock 4-barrel and shiny aluminum intake give it plenty of eyeball appeal, not to mention a robust power curve, and the ceramic-coated headers are works of art all by themselves. The braking system features a brand new master cylinder and booster with power steering to match. Someone designed and built a very slick custom dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers that sound awesome, and the all-black undercarriage frames it perfectly. Shifting is complements of a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, so cruising is relaxed, and the coil springs used on these trucks make for a very pleasant ride around town. That lowered stance is exactly right, and it looks right sitting on custom-widened Rally wheels and huge 275/60/15 BFG radials.
Fast, fun, and stylish, this impressive Chevy offers a lot of hardware for not a lot of cash. Call today!
