BELIEVED ORIGINAL 400 V8, ORIGINAL MONTEGO CREAM, CALIFORNIA CAR, PHS DOCS, NICE

This 1967 Pontiac GTO is a California car that has been restored in its outstanding original color combo. In fact, everything looks correct, right down to the 400ci V8 under the hood. You will also spot upgrades, but they're all worthwhile and well-integrated. So it makes for a truly outstanding way to present the ultimate vintage muscle car hardtop.

The subtle code-T2 Montego Cream gives this a premium vintage appearance that could pass for a simple cool cruiser. In fact, it has a well-restored look that deserves to be admired. The body panels remain straight; the 1967-chainmesh grille is bright, and the form-hugging bumpers look freshly dipped for outstanding chrome. And there's just something special about the black vinyl roof showcasing the pillarless hardtop and the flying buttress rear. Of course, you won't be able to keep up this innocent premium cruiser ruse too long. That hand-painted red pinstripe gives this this an aggressive streak as it highlights the curvy profile (and we know you're just thinking about purchasing redline tires to match!) Plus, the hood scoop, wide dual exhaust tips, proper GTO badging, and Rally II wheels with the PMD center cap remind everyone ... Please ask for the full description.

That hand-painted red pinstripe gives this this an aggressive streak as it highlights the curvy profile (and we know you're just thinking about purchasing redline tires to match!) Plus, the hood scoop, wide dual exhaust tips, proper GTO badging, and Rally II wheels with the PMD center cap remind everyone who's really the king.

Those who like the black roof of the exterior will be especially happy with the interior. And this was born with this outstanding color combo! Just like the outside, this has been nicely restored so you can park it at the car show with pride. That means the bucket seats, door panels, carpeting, and headliner all have their factory-correct deep black appearance. And this darkness makes the wood paneling on the dash and center console really stand out. It all looks authentic, right down to the working dome light and provisions for factory air conditioning. But you can also see some well-done upgrades. For example, the classic knob-style radio is a really an AM/FM digital tuner with cassette for upgraded driving music. Below that they have cleanly added classic Stewart Warner auxiliary gauges. Plus, there's more great driver-oriented features, like the grippy three-spoke sport steering wheel, round gauge package, and the iconic Hurst "His and Hers" dual gate shifter.

Under the hood is an engine bay that could steal the show on its own. The period-correct 400 cubic-inch YS block is painted in the correct shade of Pontiac blue. It's surrounded with the right elements, including a bright air cleaner and shining valve covers. This is believed to be the original motor, and you even see the correct 1967 670 casting on the heads. There have also been a few improvements that are hard to see but add plenty of performance. For example, they painted the Edelbrock Performer RPM intake so it blends in, and at the same time, it allows the Rochester four-barrel carb a better fuel delivery. And the Hooker long tube headers add power while helping the dual exhaust deliver more of that great GTO growl. On the road, you can feel that there has been an investment in keeping this classic a tight and well-maintained machine. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, sway bars front & rear, boxed rear arms, and power brakes, and this powerful GTO is also an easy cruiser.

This GTO comes with the owner's manual, build receipts, maintenance records, and Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) paperwork. It shows that this one was not only born in an ideal color combo, but also that it has spent most of its life as a desirable California coupe. So it's time to get your hands on an outstanding GTO.
